Callaway Elyte Mini Driver?

On the No putts given podcast they went through the Elyte range and one of them mentioned they just got a new mini driver in, but cant say anything else. Could it be Elyte mini driver released at the same time as the TD Max driver?

 

The new Ai face and aerodynamics looks like decent advancements. I'd be interested to see if they go with a different head size? Has anyone heard anything?

I heard the new Cally mini will not be released initially with the drivers/fwys.  Mid year release possibly?

Well damn!  I literally just got the second release of the Smoke mini less than a month ago, and there’s already something new?  Let’s hope they offer a massive trade in credit.

Callaway is always willing to make a product to had to add to the 400 other item that stores have to figure out how to stock. lol. I both love it, and hate it at the same time.

More options are always better imo. I really like their current mini driver but the footprint is just so big. I think I’d like it more around 300cc than the 340cc it’s at now. Unless I’m playing a course that has paspalum or the fairways a little longer and ball can sit up it’s a struggle to hit it off the deck.

Callaway bringing out another one basically guarantees Taylormade is going to replace the BRNR with something new as well…..will we get a qi35 copy cat or a new BRNR?

It’s already been reported that TM is bringing a new one out too.  Staggered release though from what it sounds like.

Sounds like all the OEMs are going to screw around and drop 4-5 different mini models within the same 30 day span just like they are doing with drivers in January

Looks exactly the same other than the rear weight. I’m ok with less adjustability in the back weight. I’d love to try the new TM offering though if they offered a 13.5* in LH this time around.

I’m curious anyone else think a 15-18 degree 300ish cc mini driver is worth exploring? With so much stagnation in the market why not just throw weird ideas against the wall and see if market goes for it

Im guessing something different than the BRNR

it's been two cycles now with that, and all that changed was cosmetics

Given that everyone is jumping in now, figure TM has to "keep up" with the new tech claims

I’ll give Callaway credit here. This is a true mini driver, with the same look and tech as the Elyte driver.  

 

Now if it were only 280 cc’s 🤔

I already said that I thought they'd revamp it, but thinking about it.  Don't most if not all of the pros carrying a mini, use the BRNR?  Even titleist staffers etc.  I know nothing was available for multiple brands til this year, but that BRNR seems to have gotten a lot of love from the pros.  Does anyone carry the cally mini?

I thought Xander was using the Cally mini at one point, not sure if he still is?

If TM brings another one out I hope they update the tech.  Their mini hasn't changed in years just rebadged and repainted.

With all the other oems releasing mini drivers, I think it will force them to upgrade the tech to stay ahead.

I was a bit surprised to see the Elyte TD supposedly coming with an Aretera according to the GolfWRX launch page. I cannot find it on Callaway's site, so I wonder if it will be one of the premium upgrades like they did with Ventus TR last year? Even still, I find it a bit confusing why they would choose a shaft brand that has virtually no recognition outside of the true golf nerds, but I guess they had their reasons.

Pictures show 12d of loft, that would be interesting. Ball flight adjustability is an upgrade. Any info on CC, still 340?
