This release time may be a calculated one in which most people start thinking about golf around the Masters and having a new release at that time could create hype. While we WRXers think about golf all year, a quick ChatGPT query says most golf shoe sales start in the spring.

I've been ready to pull the trigger for a while but I just didn't like any other option out there, I think they might have lost customers too

It says flyplate on the bottom of victory tour 4, so the carbon fibre plate they put in running shoes in the golf shoe?

It will benefit Nike’s bottom line. Turning a $110 shoe into a $180 shoe with a small piece of carbon fiber and epoxy. Very marginal benefit to the user; a golfer, not a marathon runner lol.

They will say it is for stability but I agree. They should at least give some rationale for why it is there...as you've alluded to, the carbon plate in running shoes serves a purpose of providing support and rebounds when you take 170+ high impact steps a minute onto pavement over 2-4 hours. What is the use case in golf?

Increasing the rebound as I walk the course so I can get to my ball that I launched a whole fairway over faster and with less energy. 😂

It will be some combo of stability and reducing fatigue from walking the golf course. Didn't Footjoy have a carbon plate in the sole of one of its shoes recently?

FootJoy put a carbon mold in a version of their hyperflex shoes the last 2 years. Payntr puts carbon and graphite plates in their shoes and it makes a huge difference especially for those who walk the courses. Your feet are not as fatigued by the end of the round and there's an added boost of swing speed which I have noticed based on distances when wearing those shoes. Unfortunately Nike has ruined the fit of their shoes on my feet,  so I've gone to a competitor for good.

I actually prefer a pretty stiff sole. If the carbon provides some stiffness without adding much weight then it could be good for me.

Noticed Viktor Hovland goes back to the Nike Roshe Tour G this week and guess what... he won the  2025 Valspar Championship!

 

It's wild that Nike discontinued these even though tour players are still wearing them.

 

I own them in white and paid $49.99

• affordable
• comfortable
• lateral support
• waterproof
• long lasting (I'm going on 3 seasons)
• look great for those who want a simple clean design

 

 

 

Unfortunately, they want to keep producing the version below (2025 Roshe G Next Nature)

 

These shoes have horrible lateral support and your feet end up collapsing inward when wearing them.

 

 

 

If anyone from Nike is here let's talk about putting the Tour G back into production.

 

Getting tired of all the Jordan's that look horrible and offer no benefits for a golf shoe.

Nike will almost always do the opposite of what we actually want. Hey you guys love the leather version and still see the pros wearing them?! Here take a knit version and tape your ankles. If those don’t work consider buying 1 of our 50 jordans you see over there on sale. 
With golf popularity at an all time high in the accessory and fashion world with new brands evolving it’s just amazing to me Nike has gone the other way with little effort and simply going against so many easy choices that would likely sell out. Hard to believe this is what master releases looked like not to long ago

If Nike didn’t give Tiger what he wanted this last go around. I doubt they are gonna give Viktor or the people what we want (that being the roshe leather.)!

IIRC, the praying hands shoes weren't released due to copyright issues. So they didn't get it right back then either lol.

It wasnt the praying hands logo itself being the issue apparently. 

Funny thing, a buddy and I were having a conversation literally last night about the logo over dinner and I brought up the wrx thread when it was fresh news. The shoes were fresh for sure.

I would say the new Victory Pro 4 is verrrryyy similar to the Roshe Tours. I haven’t worn them but the look is definitely leaning that way.
