What is driving this? Quality? Subjective opinion on style? Im curious because I exclusively play nike shoes. I used to love FJ, but they have absolutely tiny toe-boxes and cant even get through a round in them now.

For me it’s been a noticeable trend in the golf and running shoes.
1. quality of products

2. Shoe design - making changes just for sake of making changes. When the they have a good design Nike seems to overhaul the entire thing, instead of just making improvements to the design ppl liked.

3. Odd release schedules and questionable color ways (this is more on the runnIng shoe side of things)

4. Overall scattershot nature of the company the last handful of years

People gonna people. I love all my NIke stuff. Biggest downside is maybe the child labor they probably use...? I particularly love the textured DRI FIT ADV that you'll most often see Fleetwood wear. I hate the "slick" style of polyester sports wear so having a more airy, mesh alternative is exactly what I want. Every time I wear it I get a compliment about it too, so clearly many online just want to be trolls.

Nothing to do with trolling, they have gone to absolute crap over the last few years, no innovation, just rinse and repeat, quality issues, sizing issues, everything has gone downhill. The CS isn’t even what it used to be.

I've noticed Nike products in general have been on a weird trend lately. I am sure their very top products for peak athletes are still doing well and innovating, but a lot of their Dri-Fit stuff feels like it went backwards and wears so hot now. I thought the Dri-Fit ADV stuff would all be the top for performance but a bunch I have seen feels much more style over being useable clothing. It feels like they are getting out of a few sports (hockey jerseys are now going away in NCAA) and even their top end soccer jerseys feel worse than the ones from 8 years ago.

Honestly all good points.

I will say that my Nike golf shoes tend to get very yellowed out really quickly. I find myself looking at FJ and others, maybe I just need to go put some other stuff on.

I wasnt aware they were still possibly using child labor. Ya thats a no from me too.

people love particular brands and they defend them

i love all my nike stuff as well, i wear their polos very often, they are comfortable and they last.... under armor comes second...

like the Fleetood style!

i have a black quarterzip from probably 5 years ago that is still in my rotation, nice quality and fits great.  just recently bought a vest that i get compliments on, its light and warm

now on shoes, i normally buy 1 or 2 pairs of nikes to use through all year and i change them the following year, shoes last okay, no complains in quality, i know what i get for the money..... i dont intent to have shoes that last more than a year

will continue buying until another brand makes designs that appeal to me, I just dont like anything else in the market, hate gfores and fj's just do make it for me.....

Yeah I was just trolling, probably a good rule of thumb is pretty much to never listen to me. I got all riled up because I just don't really understand people coming in here just to shout about how much they hate Nike now, when the thread is to talk about the new releases.

I think for some of us, we continue to hold out hope that things will move in a different direction.

I love the swoosh, and will be thrilled if they get their groove back.

Yes to this…. It gets frustrating when you like a particular brand (in this case obviously Nike), have worn their stuff for years, only to be disappointed multiple years in a row. On a positive note, Nike has released some great running shoes lately. I know it’s not golf related but the Pegasus 41’s and the new Vomero’s are insanely comfortable, and look good. Seems like they may have rediscovered a lil something.

Hovland back in the Roshe Tours today.  Bring back that shoe!

Love to hear this! I regret never getting a pair.

Not to totally derail this thread, but I wonder if his puma deal is over or if he is in breach of it.

Soccer players wear black out boots when their footwear sponsorships are expired and they don't promote the brands for free. So they'll black out until they renew. I'm assuming his deal is done

There's a whole story around him switching back to the Roshe Tours - it's to help his putting.

Great look for Nike. Kinda... Switched out of a Puma product for Nike. Good. Opted for an older product. Could be both.

Wonder if he terminated the deal

Do any of you guys know if they are relaeasing a new version of the Zoom Infinity Tour 2’s?

They came out last year and I was expecting them to launch the 3’s but haven’t seen anything on them.

Have seen the new colourways on Nike.com but hoping for a proper update to them.

Not this year. Maybe next year.

Remind me of these, which is not a bad thing… great performance show. Loved the spiked version of this shoe, can’t remember the name.

I’m sure Nike will do some shoes with the accented some tech and some clean
