IxI Self Driving Cart. More info and pics on this golf cart of the Future!!

Recommended Posts

Hey if @GolfWRX_Official is enjoying the event this year can we please get more pics and info on this cart?! They said they will have a booth at the 2025 PGA Merch Show. There are a lot of electric carts out but this one has a lot of features I’d be interested in investing in. Maybe y’all could get the hook up with them for a members testers event or get one in the hands of @knudson81, I just started walking courses again regularly and have been planning on looking at something similar.

I saw this pop up a little while ago and connected with some of their developers. I actually work in Robotics and automation and was obviously really interested in their technology. I had a brief back and forth with their CTO and co-founder and he said they will be launching a crowd sourcing campaign pretty soon so I dont think you will see this thing commercially available for a little while. The combination of technologies they are using for localization/navigation  are extremely complex so this is an impressive undertaking, this thing will not be cheap but I am really excited to see them progress.

Yeah I started another thread in the accessories page a couple months back a couple of us members really started digging, I believe you were apart of that thread. I myself have an engineering and machining degree so it has my interest! Sounds like and looks like one of the most advanced carts to come out in a while. They had the original prototype working back in 2022 and they should have a more finalized version at the trade show. I double checked and they do have a premiere booth for this at this event! Hopefully since it’s a little bit out maybe our WRXers can get one for a members testing for feedback for IXI or Knudson can get one to review! No it will NOT be cheap it is going to be $5380 dollars. You can however get on their “VIP” presale and get 40% off.

 Sincerely

Daniel Torres

Yeah I’m very intrigued. I’d love to see one in action, specially here in the Pacific Northwest where even in the summer there can be some serious muddy or rough terrain.  The computing power needed alone for this thing has my GolfWRX senses tingling.

Very interesting, I am intrigued by the self-driving stuff. As a Motocaddy M7 GPS user I am all in on the electric trolly/cart and this one has some different features. See if I can find them down at the show.

I appreciate it! It’s been a while since I have seen an obvious tier upgrade in the electric cart category of product and now that I’m recovered from my hamstring tear I’m planning to start solely walking courses! I’d also be interested to see what you think of the Screen and the Shot tracer/Swing analysis features that they are marketing. Looks like they will be at stand 3624 wherever that is! Looks like their CEO Eric , CBDO Laetitia and Robotics Engineer Christophe will be onsite at the stand.

The form factor of this thing looks amazing!  Very slick.

It will be interesting to see it in action.  Aside from the form factor,  I don't understand how it's much different than the CaddyTrek R3X

One big difference is that it has a large touchscreen with cameras that not only are used to follow you but used to record your swing, record a shot tracer video and analyze your swing for you. With the computing power this thing is going to require it would not surprise me if there were a Lot of extra features not normally available on regular electric caddy’s.

Oh!  That would be really cool.   Imagine having a built in platform for making course vlogs or posting to swing clips.  That would be really neat.

So basically a follow caddy that records your swing?

I was intrigued until I got to the price. $6,000 for a push cart that isnt shipping until 2026? Lord.

I do appreciate companies that constantly want to try things out and push new tech out there, thats awesome. I'm on my second Motocaddie cart now - went from the M7 remote to the M3 GPS - so I love that the space is growing.

But for that price?

But it also will advance to the next tee box while you are putting. It's using advanced GPS mapping to do that. It'll meet you there!! It won't cross a green, won't hit anything, won't drive itself into a bunker/water.  I'd love to see a full video of this cart in action.

Iol, we’ll see. I’m an early adopter of the Axglo e5 for reference, but see major reservations of what’s being claimed. What about curbs on/off cartpaths? Stakes/ropes for cart control and protecting grass wear? Self driving on a road seems simpler than this. I can’t see paying triple what a following cart would be with zero place to hold a beer.

exactly why I posted this! This is their first event showing it off and I have been intrigued and have had reservations myself. I figure no better way to get the thing picked apart then to Sick Golferx and Brian Knudson on them.

My concern with GPS based would be - how are the maps updated? For example my club started tearing up and redoing two holes - maybe a year ago. But you cant see that in satellite mapping yet because it hasnt hit whatever update cycle they use. So clearly it cant tell if say - cart paths are being redone or a bridge is closed.

I dont know. I'm very skeptical but at the same time, I love to see companies pushing the electric cart market forward. The more competition the better off this space will be down the road.

This looks really cool. I've been using an alphard V2 for years now and I absolutely love it. Just not sure $6k is worth the upgrade here.

I have a feeling that won’t be the final price tag when it hits retail.  They offer a 40% off vip coupon already and are still pre full release. It’s likely a marketing strategy to gauge their final release msrp. It wouldn’t surprise me if most of their customers if any at all ever pay that premium $6k price and are likely probably told about the discount prior to purchase. Kinda like Krank Golf, they almost always have some 30-50% off promo going on. I assume it will still be very expensive but I’m thinking it will be in the $3k range at release
