Despite a bump in distance over my rogue ls 5 wood, the ti felt dead to me. 
I moved the heavy weight (now 16g) forward and it feels more lively. 
still has a good launch which initially was a concern with the weight up front.

Do it... Feels like an absolute rocket off the face and so forgiving. Playing it at 16.0, and it flies. Still tinkering with shafts like I always do, but it takes a lot for me to want to stick to a 3w head, and I am.

Have a 3HL in route, looking forward to a shootout with my Smoke TD 3W. Shaft for both will be Ventus+ Blue 7-S. I could be persuaded to purchase an Aretera EC1 Blue 75/4 if anyone wants to dump one cheap....lol

I'm just going to assume it holds the tungsten plate in the sole. Probably not an easy fix if it pops loose without taking the whole carbon crown off.

I just got a 5 wood. Not a ton of swings with it yet but it feels hot, forgiving, and easy to launch.

Just did ti 3hl vs ping g440 4 wood set around same loft comparison. And the 3hl won that out. More stable ball flight and just easier for me to hit. I like the titanium sound over the more muted thud the ping has.though I am keeping the ping 440 7 wood I have. I’m liking that one. If they had a titanium 7 wood I’d get that.

I finally got to hit my Ti 5w during a round this past Saturday, and I am impressed.  One strike was quite heely, but you could not tell from the ball flight—held its line without moving right at all.  If I got the flight I deserved, I would have been in a deep bunker, but I ended up with a chip for eagle from the collar.  Very pleased with the 5w thus far.

If the 2x trade in happens this may be the route I take now. That sounds awesome.

Not sure how I missed this thread but I put a Ti 3w in the bag after my trusty F9 went south.  Im still not sure what happened to F9, but all of a sudden a uber reliable club from t or deck lacked pop, felt dead, and seemed to be depleted of any energy.  So I hit the Ti 3 a couple times and was getting great numbers.  So of course I got one.  Went with a KBS TD 70s shaft (no upcharge) figuring I would drop my F9 shaft (atmos blue TS) in there.  I did move the heavier weight up front during a range session just to see what would happen and man the club just took off in a good way.

 

Several rounds later Im still loving this thing, especially off the T.  Its not as automatic from the deck as F9 but I have worked on that and have it pretty dialed.  The thing is fast and long for me.  250 is in reach (passive brag) with this thing off the T.  I still have the KBS shaft in it - and have gotten an Atmos, but havent used it as I am getting on good with the current setup, why jinx it.

 

I tend to keep my 3w in the bag for years and I think Ive found mine for the foreseeable future.  Before F9, I had a Ping G25 (2013) and played that until F9 replaced it in 2019.

I’ve been searching for woods since I made the mistake and got rid of my XR16 pros. They were my unicorns and I made the mistake of selling them. I just put the Ti 3 and 5 wood in the bag. Absolute rockets and consistent. Won’t be getting rid of these for some time!

Im so glad I have outgrown that phase of my golfing life.  I took it to heart when the guys out at D Dans said I was one of their most frequent callers.

I regret those many years spent chasing the dragon too; actually did a lot to delay my improvement as a player. Really don't want to think about all the wasted money.

 

Ironically, becoming a fitter and really dedicating myself to excellence in that craft is what primarily helped me break out of the ho-ing cycle. Realizing what equipment CAN'T do and better recognizing when equipment is fully optimized and that there's nowhere constructive to go from there has been revelatory.

Exactly.  Once I settled into my clubs and kept them only then did I start to improve as a golfer.  Pretty eye opening really.  Wife said I could get new irons next year and Im actually debating doing that or keeping my 565/765 combos Ive had for a decade lol.

I'm just now starting to look into 3 wood replacement.  Anyone compare these with the regular elyte 3 wood?  I've only been able to hit that, but it felt great.  What are the advantages of the ti elyte over the normal elyte?  Probably looking at getting the 3HL. Thanks

Shallow fairway woods give me the heeby jeebys to look down at, so I like the deeper look of the Ti. Also the Ti is just that little bit faster/more efficient.
