Jack, when he was young, said something similar about not playing the Sr Tour when he turned 50.  “I’m not going to be a ceremonial golfer”

 

He won 10 times on the Sr Tour, 8 of them majors.

Brendan Jones who I have followed for many years on the Japan Tour leads after the 1st round. He has 15 Japan Tour wins.

 

He hits it long with a 3/4 swing and loves to hit a fade. The weakness is his putting and short game.

Yeah,  that's his youth talking. Most CT guys don't need the money.  They're in a men's league with their buddies on a lengthy golf trip. 

After 1 week of cleaning the garage or listening to his wifes book club meetings,  he'll be on that tour like white on rice.

100%. Does anyone think that Ernie Els, VJ Singh, or Bernhard Langer need the cash?

 

The CT is just a way to keep the competitive juices flowing.  Beats sitting in an office somewhere.  IMO  It's more like a reunion of old friends and rivals.

He also had more of inside-over the top swing back in the day.
