At the 1st Masters I attended ... Cabrera was playing with Couples on a cold, windy, Saturday morning. #15 was playing tough, right into the wind with pin placed in back left. Everyone was laying up, including Couples who was about 6 yds behind Cabrera in middle of fairway. But Cabrera grabbed a rescue club and laced a piercing draw to 6 feet (missed the eagle putt). Just an amazing golf shot .... what is funny, the two didn't share a word the complete round until that shot when Couples looked over said something like ' Wow great shot ' and Cabrera, with a huge smile, nodded. 

 

The man is a definitely a player!

I enjoy Grieve's short game videos. Quite simple but very effective.

Both in the lesson Dan gives Woosie and in the course vids it is interesting to view how Woosnam interprets and processes information and his understanding of his swing.  You can tell with a couple thoughts he simply "gets" things pretty quickly, which probably shouldn't be all that surprising.

I'm enjoying watching the Greats of Golf play. I like that they include past LPGA greats as well. I surprised the LPGA doesn't do something similar to draw in some more people. I swear there's more people at the Insperity than last week's major the Chevron.😬

I was pulling for Kelly but forgot it was on after I went to work.  The event Kelly won recently I really enjoyed how Angel was supportive, etc. 

 

I took a deeper dive into his story (at least from the reports that can be found) - no excuses, and he's not making them any more, but man, what a tough life and I hope he can walk what could be a tightrope for himself the rest of his life - there appear to be so many challenges out there from many different angles and easy to see where things could go wrong - I hope they don't.  Seems humbled, contrite and genuine (yes, I've never met him) and learned many lessons, and again, no excusing what landed him in prison.  

 

I don't think winning golf tournaments is really redemption but I'm sure it helps with him getting back on his feet and grounded and getting some self-confidence/respect back which he definitely needs.

Yes, a miserable life growing up. I’m not a big fan of el Pato but I get mesmerized by his mastery. He’s good Seve or Sam Snead style, nothing less. But he used to be hard on himself and on everybody else, aggravated by some serious drinking problems. 
 

But you can see him changed now. Like trying to come to terms with his life. I assume the issues on the golf course are nothing compared to the things he had to come through. Hope he can display his talent for a long time. He’s a real golf genius.

What a player to come back after 3 years out of the game. Chances being out that long you will never find any decent form let alone win multiple times at the top level.

 

He has paid his dues and was punished, hopefully he can move on to a better life and for most of us can just enjoy his silky golf.

A lot of the media will be spewing with the way Cabrera is playing.

 

I hope Cabrera does it always enjoyed watching him play since he first arrived on the old ET.

Local event for me but very little buzz. I am half tempted to go today,  the weather is perfect.  I probably couldn't resist heckling Westwood and I'd get ejected or something. 😂

 

Scores suggest it's playing tough. The last 2 days have been beautiful but a bit windy.  Thursday was wet, was it LCP? Today should be just like yesterday but less wind. 70 and low humidity on Memorial day weekend? Weather gods are smiling on these old codgers.
