Most of us will have tried one before the end of the summer.  All the Autoflex or Autoflex "interested".

do you have proof? Everything I have seen is they aren't

With golf shafts companies there is no standardization of what is what. So you have flexes and weights all over the place from one company to another.

So with that there is no set limit where you have to call a shaft CB or not. Is a CB shaft considered a CB when it is any distance below the midpoint of the shaft? Or is it 2" or more? Like without standardization it is a mess.

If it is any distance then all the prior ventus models are CB more on the TR models. Which makes sense since they reinforced the handle with more weave thus making it heavier on that end.

So a good personal example is my previous gamer was the tensei 1k orange 6TX and when it broke i replaced it with a ventus black tr 6x and played at the same length same grip etc and it swingweighted the same. Grant it I used a tape measure and fingers so prob a 1/2 a swingweight error but it was equivalent to the labelled CB tensei.

There is a site where a fitter measures a bunch of shafts using his equipment. It is an easy find but the balance point of those two shafts were pretty close together which validates my poor mans SW test.

Makes me wonder how many ppl out there choose a Ventus (any shaft) based on aesthetics first. Sounds ridiculous, but ya know ppl do! 😂

I did couple years ago lmao. ventus red to pair with my stealth driver... dumbest purchase ever. didn't go well at all as you can imagine with my gamer shaft being a hzrdus green

High launch high spin? I thought that was what red was for? At this style of shaft do we really see enough difference in dispersion to justify over a stock shaft option. Why did Ian have to quit club champion last year we need answers from trusted sources

I feel like the red was only marginally different than the black and blue.  To me the performance of all was very similar (obviously slightly higher launch and spin), and it just came down to feel.  Obviously a lot of pros played the “purple” by crazy tipping on the Red.  But I had fittings at different times where I fit into both the blue and black.

So all of this said, I guess the white is just a truly different animal.

Not really sure Ventus would be the option for aesthetics.  GD Tour AD typically look way better, anyway.  But adding a white line could potentially change that.  The fact that Fuji does a "made-for" shaft for so many different OEMS kind of takes away some of the razzle dazzle from the Ventus line.

They've been in a noodle market for a while. Speeder Air and all that over in asia. Now that autoflex and other light shafts (Accra) got some popularity maybe they decided to get a piece of that market? I wonder how much swing speed S flex will hold up to.

I''m guessing that it is not so much swing speed as type of transition.

Ventus Red 5 S was a good fit for me. Ventus White 4 S will be a must try.

Serious question - Is there really a market for a $350 shaft in senior flex?  This release seems really odd.

You really think Fujikura would have done R&D and released a shaft if there was no Market for it,

just think Ventus Velacore is the most used Shaft on Tour , all the top Players are playing it , junior players that have not yet built the strength or speed to play Ventus Red / Blue or Black might fit into White, and for your information it’s available in R1 ,R,S Flex

not everyone swings at 135mph and plays Rebar shafts in their clubs , oh and Hits a Lob wedge 135 yards.

but it’s good that a company like Fujikura doesn’t just make One Shaft for one type of Player,

Great topic.

Yes, everyone here uses Ventus TR black.  My favorite was a cynic that made fun of me for asking which driver is best, giving me the old "they're all the same" but has his bag spec'd out with all modern clubs and of course Ventus Black.

Suspect this is an opportunity for the vast majority of golfers in the world (speed < 100 mph) and even smooth tempo swingers in the 100 range to pick up a few extra yards.  I'll be trying it and not minding that seniors might also be.

Look at it this way, if you've given up on your ego enough to buy a fat mallet (rather than an anser-style putter), maybe drop the black ventus u can't get through for one that gets a few extra yards.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. As we age,  will be 66 this week, we have to look at equipment that best fits our current swing speed, and look for something that gives us the best results. Golf balls, wedges, irons, shafts are all are subject to change. With all the simulators of private and public, we can get data that shows whether something works for us or not. Taking advantage of it

I’ve been a blade type(Austin/San Diego) putter guy for a long time. Starting 2025 with an Alcatraz. All about using something that helps shot lower scores.

Totally agree. My Ventus White 4R arrived yesterday. I played 18 in an indoor sim yesterday (located in Canada) which I have been using all winter. My gamer shaft is the Vanquish 4R. Initial impressions were very good. I am using Ping G440 SFT. It does not feel as good as the Vanquish in my opinion but dispersion was better and I hit ball speeds I haven't hit for a few years (I am 63 years old). My drives were also longer than I have seen in a few years even compared to the Vanquish. Looking forward to getting both outdoors soon!

What length did you build it at? I have one coming next week and thinking 46” in my g440 max 9 and wondering how it swingweights? Does it seem counterbalanced like the Alta cb shaft?

Mine was built to 44.5 inches. I play a shorter shaft. I'm not sure about swing weight but at 63 years of age I am moving to lighter equipment. It is definitely lighter than my G430. It does not feel counterbalanced to me like the Alta CB. Hope this helps. Second game today indoors and my ball speed was up again and dispersion was excellent.

It's not only offered in senior flex. It is also offered in regular and stiff flex. There definitely is a market for these shafts. I just bought one in regular flex and could not be happier. Several of my buddies have also placed orders.
