Ive played the Limit3d model which should be the same as these and they are awesome.  However they are not blade like if u are looking for the titleist MB or 620CB feel.  These compare favorably to my gamers, Mizuno 245 but a bit more compact.  they are extremely forgiving and very long hitting.  I

Can you go into a little more detail on the comparison with the 245? The 245 is about the smallest iron I can game in terms of face size. Top line width doesn’t bother me either way.

I wish I could just order a single iron to test. Does anyone know of a retailer where that might be possible?

Got to spend some time on the range and play 5 holes today. Birdied the two hardest holes on the front 9...

Tried to feel like I’m picking it a little more and try to hit it one grove lower. Had zero problems with stopping power. Between the irons and much stiffer shafts, I’m still able to hit fades/cuts, but everything is in a tighter window.

It is on the softer side of my usually firm home course. Turf interaction was fantastic. Slightly toe/heel shots held their line better than I’m used to with the ZX7s.

Great updates!!

Still 10 degrees here so outside time is still far away but I’m excited to see some simulator numbers when mine come in vs Mizuno Pro 243. In the last 10 years the 243’s are the only iron set to make it through a whole year

Got my 3DP's today.  First impressions they look amazing.  Swing weights were bang on stock, except the 9 iron came in a bit light at D1.7 ish.  Grips are GP TV midsize.  Practice swings feel nice, with a bit more heavy head feel with the 125 TXs compared to the S300s in my Z545s that SW a point higher.  Ive got a feeling the 545s are gonna be better for speed retention on heavy shots.  Some sim time tomorrow so will see how they perform.

Could you weigh each club and list the weights if you have time please?

I recently built a set of ZX7's and after weighing the heads and talking to a clubfitter, I've learned many of the clubs manufactured today have a wide range of weights vs the industry standard (i think) of 7 grams difference from iron to iron. Often the club head weights are off and tip weights and/or lead tape is used to bring them into spec so the irons are + 7g as you move from 2i to pw.

3i: 240g
4i: 247g
5i: 254g
6i: 261g
7i: 268g
8i: 275g
9i: 282g
PW: 289g

So I'm curious if these Cobra 3DP weights are progressively +7g and how precise they are. They'll likely be pretty tight since most companies fine tune these with tip weights, so could you actually remove the heads, clean them, remove all extra weighting and report back on their weights? (I'm kidding, unless you are willing to do that).

Again, I'm wondering if this 3D Printing process produces tighter manufacturing specs and if yes, how much more precise?

Perhaps there's a Cobra manufacturer or rep in this thread that can answer?

I interchange these irons in my lineup.  The Cobra is a bit smaller and a fraction slimmer.  I also find the Cobras to be long er and more forgiving than the 245s.  Im a extremely weak iron player so i gravitate to the longest most forgiving setup i can find.  In terms of topline they are about the same.  im playing the 3d Limit3d but that set seriously needed a AW, the PW is stupid long.

Just curious, if the Cobras are longer and more forgiving, what is it about the 245’s that is keeping them in the bag?

Hahaha i have finally convinced myself that i need a backup set of the Cobra limit3d irons, and a AW from the newer release.

Does anybody have experience with the newer release of the printed irons ?  Are they the exact same or slightly different ?  I see that the stamping is different but wondering about performance ?

Everything I have seen and read says they are nearly identical. The difference seems to be down to the branding/cosmetics.

Just got some quick sim time in, but wasn't my best striking to be honest.  Playing a round tomorrow so will have some more input.  I feel like anything slightly heavy leads to 10+ yards of distance loss whereas I get away with it almost completely with the 545 Vsole.  Otherwise I think they are great.  Shafts felt completely stable, but still pretty smooth.

I think it's more the sweet spot is lower than we're used to coming from Srixon. You got to live a grove or 2 lower than you're used to.

So I got to do a bit of testing today. I'm coming from Srixon ZX5/7 mkii in Modus 120Xs. I developed some pretty bad shoulder pain at the end of 2024, so I've shut it down for the past 6 weeks. I made the switch to MMT105TX thinking it would help with shoulder pain, but it hasn't made that much of a difference. These numbers are with the 2025 ProV1...

A couple of thoughts:

  • Shots high on the face on the 3DPs are pretty dead, kind of like T150s. You have to adjust a grove or two down.
  • In the long irons, the Srixons felt noticeably better on mishits, and marginally better on center strikes. I thought I was hitting the Srixon much better, but when I looked at the data after it was similar results. Both were coming in around 44 - 46 degrees with a good amount of height.
  • The ZX7 wedge has never been my favorite. The 3DP wedge was an order of magnitude better. Like shockingly better. 3DP is a little stronger, but landing angle stayed between 50 - 52 degrees.
  • If you are a picker or your miss is a thin shot, the 3DP are next level.
  • If you fat it a bunch, I think the Srixons are better.
  • the 3DP are stainless. So they're harder than forgings, but softer than chrome... They show less chatter, but show rubbing and scratches real easy.

I'm going to try a Modus 115 shaft to see if it gives me better results than the MMT 105s.

They are the exact same club in every way other than cosmetic/branding

Playing 5,6,7 king tour and 8,9,pw in CB, working great for me, very similar shape and look over the ball, had to adjust loft a little, weakened 7 and strengthened the 8 to manage the gapping
