Unlike the 5's the 0 models are not a series. They are all unique profiles from each other.

I have always found the modus line a little confusing. Have some weights with similar profiles but others that are completely different. I remember when they only had a couple options and I played the 105 with good results but wanted a little more weight so went with 120 not knowing it was a completely different profile. Now they have 110/120/130 all different profiles yet they group them as “0” models🤷‍♂️

Just hit about 100 balls with the modus 110 Stiff. Shafted them into my MB2 7 plug raw. Standard length, standard loft, 2 flat. They come out about d1-d2 with MCC grips.

 

The other set I'm using is Cobra 3 DP with tour issue x100. Also standard length, standard loft, 2 flat. They come out around D2.5 to D3.5 with Z cord Align grips.

 

I play off +0.3, driver swing speed 105-108mph. 7 iron carry with Pro V1 left dash 160m/176yards.

 

Feel:

 

They feel lighter than x100s as expected with 22grams less weight, well balanced in the hand. I was worried about it being harsh after reading some reviews and how the middle and tip is so stuff but I feel it's still very smooth, very modus like for those who are familiar with Modus.

 

The old school waggle feel they don't flex much and you can see alot more steps from below the grip to almost the tip, that's where the rigidity comes from.

 

Don't think they are very tip heavy as the swing weight doesn't come out super heavy for a standard build.

 

Performance:

 

Comparing to x100s in the Cobra 3dp, which is 2-3 degree stronger in loft, the modus 110 in MB2 7 iron actually came out lower and flatter and I could tell it spin less because it was headwind in the range today and it flew through without stalling or ballooning. Bear in mind the MB2 def launches it higher than 3DP if I put the same shaft, so i can say for my swing it comes our flatter, lower, less spin, it's pretty much ideal for me and what I'm looking for in an iron shaft because I tend to hit my irons high and the MB2 should spin more and this offsets some of that spin and balance it out nicely.

 

The lighter weight also feels good for me that I don't have to really go at it and being 45 now, I don't have the speed I use to.

 

Mb2s are blades, so misses will be punished, but I pretty much see the ball flying towards the pin and misses are drop offs more front to back and less left to right.

 

Given the 2-3 degree less loft in MB2s with Modus 110 its expected to be shorter than the 3DP with x100s, but I reckon it's only 5-7yards less.

 

Overall pleasant surprise with Modus 110 because after reading about the profile and harshness, for me personally I found none of it, in fact it help me flatten the flight and lower my launch which was wonderful. I'm now tempted to insert them into wedges to see if it can help me flight it lower.
