Ping G430 Max vs. Tour Edge E725 Driver

Hey all,

I got a chance to hit both the Ping G430 Max and the Tour Edge E725 drivers. With all things considered, they both performed very similar. Now I'm on the fence with what driver I should purchase and if I'm considering resale value, the Ping is the clear winner. However, the Tour Edge was very impressive.

For those who have tested both, which would you choose and why? Thanks

I am playing the TEE E725 driver. I am very happy with it. It continues to wow me and the guys in my regular group. I have found it to be very consistent all over the face. I have to admit I am coming from their C721 driver, I play their C721 fairways ,and I play their E722 hybrids. I will most likely get a C725 fairway when I can find one for a decent price. I play Ping irons.

You say they both perform very similar. If there is no clear winner I would consider the price I was paying to put me in the driver. If the price is around the same and resale value is important to you Ping's resale value will be better especially compared to TEE.

TEE has a lifetime warranty. The customer service is excellent. I know Ping has great customer service too but I don't think they have a lifetime warranty.

I play TEE stuff because it performs well for me and their price point is cheaper than most OEMs. I was able to buy my E725 new for a lot less than retail and it just came out. I also like the fact that yes TEE's resale value tanks so I am able to pick up quality used clubs at bargain prices. Reselling my stuff and what I get is not a big issue for me. I pay less to start so I get less when I sell it.

The thing I find about TEE is there are many people that can't accept that TEE is legit. All you have to do is look on Youtube and see they are legit. They may not be the best for you but they offer good clubs at a better price point.

I did not compare the E725 to the Ping G430. One of the guys in my regular group has a G430 and has hit my E725. He says he should have never tried my E725. He said he was happy with his driver until he hit mine.

Thanks for the intel. If I end up buying the TEE, I will most like get the 3 wood as well. Nothing but good things have been said about the new line of woods.

I play the Tour Edge C725 and it is just as good or better than anything out there.

FYI - Tour Edge has a lifetime warranty which they replaced my C722 that had broken after 2.5 years with a C725.

Can't say enough good things about the company and products.

so talk to me about the C725. What’s the thing you like most and least about it?

im looking for a backup to my ping 10k.

or is the E725 the way to go. Kinda thinking I want the flatter flight pattern of the c725 as I have tendency to hit a high ball…..

I really don't have a bad thing to say about it - Sounds good and quieter than the 722

Looks are very basic black crown with no distractions ( I like that)- very small alignment mark on center face / forward crown

C725 has the deeper face than the E725 which seems to be a more penetrating ball flight - My back up is the Callaway Mavrik Sub Zero which is deep face also.

- I play 3 days every week

- I put the heavy weight in the back for better launch - Ball flight is perfect for me I have never had a balloon ball regardless of wind conditions, so definitely a low spin head

- Very accurate and longer than the C722

- Just like any of them Bad swing = Bad results

- Not sure what shaft they offer now but Tour Edge replaced the Head and I still have the Blue Fujikura Ventus shaft from the 722 which has been outstanding

- Still can't say enough good things about the company I played the C722 for 3 seasons and the top cracked which they replaced the head after I sent it to them - process took about 30 days

Just as good or better performance than anything out there at a lower price point on the top end of the bag- very underrated

Yeah. I saw his video. And that got me thinking hum…..I’m thinking might be better to get a c725 since I pretty much have the e725 with my ping 10k already…..

Do you get a new driver every year or two? If so, the Ping may be worthwhile, since you can sell it later.

if you keep a driver for 4-5 years, then definitely the TEE

The TEE EXS 220 knocked my Ping G400 Max out of the bag. It was just more neutral and easy to shape. The G400 Max I drew a little more and I like the sound of the TEE better.
