Best Golf Shorts

What is everyones preferred golf short at the moment? Years ago I went really heavy on Bonobos golf shorts, great fit. But they are fading and starting to tear and pull in places.

I really like the lululemon's. Can catch them on sale pretty frequently too. Also like Peter Millar but they are a bit pricier.

Might be a surprise suggestion, but I have owned Greyson, PM, Holderness, Lulu, and more. My favorite (by far) are the adidas 365s. Great waistband, great stretch, they breathe, and they aren't shiny. They come in a couple of lengths.

I am interested in LuLu golf shorts and pants. what have your thoughts been? I've been an user of the UA, Adidas, and Radmor golf shoes.

ABC Classic Fit.. THey have different fabric options, but I think the Warpstream are what I go with. Similar to Bonobos but I think they hold up better.

I prefer the Peter Millar Salem short. I keep way too much crap in my pockets and shorts with thinner material don't work as well for me. Also help that their version of a 9-inch inseam fits perfectly.

The last couple years my preference for shorts are below.  I wear PM shorts casually or occasionally if I'm planning on riding but I walk 90% of my rounds so anything with a heavy cotton content/thicker material is out:

 

1. Rhone Resort shorts - very comfortable and great when it gets really hot (I'm real sweaty).

2. Vineyard vines on the go - same but come in more colors 

3. Adidas 365 - a bit thinner than vv but great in heat. I have had inconsistency with these though unfortunately, 

 

The only things that matter to me are stretch and the option for an 8" or less inseam.  I can't stand shorts that touch my knees.

Puma 101 are very solid. Also agree with the adidas 365. Have a huge stack of polo/rlx that are also really nice if you dont mind a more structured waistband.

Big fan of the adidas.  Must have the tacky waistband to keep the shirts tucked in and I appreciate the 10” inseam option to hide my chicken thighs.

I have a few of all the brand mentioned, but the ones I keep reaching for are the ones I got from Academy Sports for like 19.99.  I think they are BCG brand.  I am not overly brand conscious, but I do appreciate higher quality brands.  These are more durable and look just as good as the PM's, Greyson, etc.  Plus, they have no external logo, so if I was the brand matchy type I wont have a conflict.

 

Of the name brands, I prefer Vuori and PM over the others.

Another vote for the adidas 365. At 6'1", the 8.5 inseam is perfect for me. Plenty of colors to pick from and if you time it right you can get them on sale for 30-50% off.

 

They also don't have zipper pockets which is great. I can't stand those and don't understand why every company wants to add zipper pockets to everything now...

I have quite a few Bonobos Highland Tour but it looks like they’re moving away from those for their Performance Link shorts which I really do not like.

 

Greyson Sequoia by far the most comfy I’ve worn. I don’t like their Montauk shorts very much.

 

Lulu are good, too, I think.

I've been on a substantial weight loss journey the past few years so I've tried a lot of brands and for the 2025 season I'll be needed a new set of shorts so I'll probably be going with the Adidas 365 and Lulu ABC cause of the price and quality.

I stumbled on UNRL’s Stratford shorts during Black Friday and plan to grab another couple colors. Golf clothes tend to be real hit or miss with me fit wise so pretty happy to finally find something I like.

I've got skinny legs, so everything that's not actively "slim fit" looks baggy on me. And then they can't be too long, or too short, and need to be moisture wicking... With this criteria, The Bonobos HT 8" in "slim" have been great for me. But they're also [too] expensive.

 

So, what are you looking for?

I like the shorter shorts 7in 8in. Obviously not baggy. I am only 5'7. The bonobos has always been a favorite of mine they hold up very well. But i am i need of something new since there about 4-5 years old now

Check out Avalon Golf Co. I bought a pair of their joggers after seeing a review of them here -- and then bought 3 more pairs in different colors. Then, they ran a sale toward the end of last year, so I purchased a pair of their golf shorts. They are slim-fitting as well, and they look (but aren't) more like cotton shorts than the Bonobos do. They're nice and relatively inexpensive. At least 10 colors to choose from, too.

Adidas Ultimate 365 are my preferred shorts.  Also like that they have different inseam options depending on your height or preference.

@Eric05 I swear by these. 5’10 150ish and they’re all I wear these days. The non factory version comes with 2 extra pockets which I can’t stand. Moisture wicking, slim, easy to wear on or off the course. If you like them they can usually be found for much less than $47 during the off season.
