I'm a 34 in most shorts/pants, and the 34s fit me well. Not at all tight in the waist.

I bought a couple pairs of Dunning's during their Black Friday special, and just got around to trying them on yesterday. Super comfortable, and very light weight. I'll definitely be buying more.

Bonobos HT are great, Greyson Montauk 8', Rhoback Looper shorts, Turtleson Tri-Cities, Mizzen & Main Helmsman, Linksoul Boardwalkers or Icon, G/Fore Mavrick, Rhone  - all great options.  Haven't tried Redvanly or Primo yet.  The Johnnie-O shorts I've tried have been ok but they are a little too long and require hemming.  Same thing for Peter Millar.  I like PM shorts but they always run long on me.

Gonna go with Rhone and LuluLemon.  I used to be a Peter Millar guy.  Still like their stuff.  Just not as much as the newer brands that have a more modern cut and shorter inseams

These come up up in almost every “lulu alternative” thread here or article you read online so obviously there are a lot of people who like them.  I ordered a pair to check out and for me they weren’t even close.  It may be that the pants I have are what lulu call warpstreme and these compare more to something to else in their product line.  I can’t say if they were good or not as I returned them but definitely weren’t anything Ike the lulus I’m used to.

I like lulu stuff, esp their pants a lot but one thing I actually don't like is their shorts.

Same.  I used to have a few pair of their shorts but with living in the south the ones I had were to thick for our hot humid summers

 

The ABC are the main pants I wear and I have a few of their polos

I mostly wear BirdDog knockoffs. I believe they are called Meripex freeballers(I know right). The material is OK, I would be ok with a little softer but the pocket layout is great, 7 or 8 inch inseam but they have limited colors for the short with belt loop. My favorite part is they dont break the bank.

They're alright. Slightly thicker material, even though it's designed for warmer temps. 

I like the cut, but for warmer weather I think I prefer something like Ultimate365.

Or expensive.  😁  I'm a big Redvanly fan myself and have 4 pairs.  I have made a decision that I'm not going to have shorts past my knee anymore, just too damn baggy and long.  Redvanly is close.  Adidas 365 were too long, but great waistband.

They have some close out colors on sale with additional off currently…I’ve seen them offer a percentage off everything which is when I purchased a bunch.
