@TaylorMade Golf, is the counterbalanced grip offset? Is there any way to get a sightline all the way back?

ok - only gripe about this putter so far. the GPS shaft in the counterbalance is too thick to install a grip weight - despite the grip being capable of putting a weight in.

kinda a miss in my opinion. you get EVERYTHING else right with the putter but TM chose a shaft that will not accept grip weights. sigh.

Electrical tape on the foam part of the weight?  I have some tour lock's for putters and one of those might expand enough also, but not the nice SuperStroke setup I know.

Had a chance to roll a ZT a couple days ago while my daughter was in a lesson with her coach.  Really like the set up and the feel off the face of this putter.  I didn't pull the trigger on one just yet but I'm definitely considering it.  She's got another lesson this week so I'm going to tinker with it again in the golf shop.  It's a bit softer than my DF3 but I prefer the set up visually on the ZT.  I've only demo'd an OZ1 but if I had to chose between that and the ZT it would probably be a dead heat.

Agreed. I picked one up last Wednesday and I wasnt the only one buying it just on that visit. Today I stopped in PGASS to grab a travel bag and some balls, they had one long one left, that was it.

They absolutely crushed it with the ZT. Incredible putter. ZT tech but 100% TM Spider DNA. Now, Odyssey, on the other hand...

First, the Jailbird is a nice putter but the implementation of it for a ZT was awful. Very cheap looking. Then, they release a blatant copy of the DF3 which they should be ashamed of, imo. I wont even pick it up, lol

I stopped by my Golf Galaxy this afternoon and the only had a long putter available. The head was even bigger than I expected.

Just my .02 cents.
If you buy a long putter/broomstick they should give you a box of the balls of your choice, 25% off and a hug 🤗

I think it's the shaft, the newest Strokelab shaft makes anything it's in feel super plasticy and cheap.

LABs are more expensive because they are hand crafted customs made in the USA.  TM are most likely built in Asia somewhere.  I do think it validates LAB's premise that the big OEMs are copying them.  That being said I think the spider is too ugly and prefer the look of the LAB designs.

Seriously ? I can go along with the "limited/handmade" argument of LAB vs. the mass produced TM putters, but my local store got 7 of them, 3 left on the racks and the manager there told me confidentially they won be getting more of them in the near future - which jibes with what TM is saying on their site.

The new ZT is much closer in appearance to the Spider we've been seeing for at least 6 or 7 years now.

Does the LAB Mezz look like anything else we've seen ?

The DF Series looks like what ? Even the Link.1 blade is rather different than any other h-t weighted blade.

But of course the others are copying LAB. All of them copy each other.

From what I can tell, not as "zero torque" as a LAB, the putter definitely wants to sit toe up at rest.

Don't ALL the LAB putters sit "toe up" ?

did that trick too - except the weight has a lip on it where the foam seats against it (bout an inch from the screw-end). time to pull out the dremel...

That's an impressive release if you ask me.

I'm really impressed by mine so far. Its what I wanted the OZi to be but it wasnt.

this. i desperately wanted the OZi to work for me and the feel just never did it for me. the ZT however ticks every box (and performs well).

If i get the 38" CB, do I have to keep the press grip?  Or will that mess up the shaft lean built in if I change it?

Long shot here, but does anyone who struggled with lag putting with a LAB putter notice the ZT being easier at all? I think with LAB the zero torque makes me lose the head in longer swings. Normally lag putting is a strength of mine but found it very difficult with a DF3. Wondering if the ZT also being zero torque means its the same deal.

Funnily enough I was having more trouble with the ZT - similar to DF3. Don’t have that issue with insert Oz as much.

the CB is not a press grip - it's a standard grip at 1* forward shaft lean. the standard putter is the one with a press grip.

couldn't lag my DF3 for schnit. ZT is much better and speed control is a 1000X better. YRMV

I was thinking about giving the insert OZ or the Link a try as well. I think the ball just comes off the face so slow on the DF3 that putts of 50+ feet feel like you have to hammer it, which when combined with my previous comment of feeling like I lose the head in longer swings isn't a good combo.
