Thank you! I’m assuming when you’re holding it feels like it’s straight, 1 degree is so minimal. I liked the LAB putters but I just couldn’t get over the forward shaft lean of 3 degrees as you could really feel it and see it when looking down at the ball

I hate center shafted putters.  I new Taylormade was releasing one so I went out to the local 2nd swing and tried a few of the new center shafted putters companies have all released since Lab changed the scene.   I hit with several 38" putters and couldnt believe how nice they actually were.  I talked with my guy and he let me use one of the new TM putters. I have been able to hold it but I havent been able to putt with it yet. Its crappy outside but Im planning to try it at our local indoor golf shop and see if it works as well as it looks. I cant post pics but the headcover is kinda cool.  a little different color than most others. Im getting one whether its a stock 33" or the 38 version, its just to cool not to have in the bag. lol  Sorry for no pics.  As soon as I can, I will.

Any follow up...did you get to hit the TM yet.   Im on a LAB link, but think the TM spider is the best looking of the new ones for sure.

Yep, i had one for a few days.  I had the 38". The putter was to long for myself. It feels good, much like the others but it's way cool. I hated center shafted putters, but it's growing on me.

I'm going to try the 36" if I can get it out of my buddies hands. He's loving the 36. Awesome headcocer with magnetic closure.  Im so sick of velcro scotty stuff. That ship has sailed. Anyone interested in a bunch of new scotty headcovers shirts,towels, etc. Lol. Seriously though go order the new TM Putter. It's going to be a game changer. Now if my R7 mini would come in.

I like counter balanced putters.  Pairing with a zero torque head sounds like the way to go.  Can’t wait to see these in person.

Rep stopped by our club today with the regular, CB and broomstick. Regular came with KBS steel and broom with a KBS graphite. All I can say is I already ordered one and after 30 min with it, feel its gonna give my LAB a serious run for its money. Feels great off the face, pure roll, really stable, visually pleasing addressing the ball. The shaft lean and 1 degree press super stroke felt really good too. being able to mess around with the weights is a positive for me as well.

 

Only stock for now. Customization will come a little later in the year sometime - still waiting to hear what can be changed (shaft, grip, insert, alignment, etc), but if you want one anytime near the June 5 release, it will be stock.

 

Edit: Regular and CB are 70* lie and the broom was 78* lie angle

Great info, thank you. Is the stock alignment aid a horizontal line or a dot?

How was the pricing set out do you happen to know?

The price point Odyseey and Taylormade are bringing these out at makes no sense to me. I just don’t see the appeal of these when they are the same price as a LAB. And I get people always say LABs don’t have great feel but that is all subjective

So if I’m understanding correctly, TaylorMade is only going to offer this model in a 70* lie angle? Thats super disappointing to hear. Was really hoping for at least a couple more options in the upright lie angle category ie 71* and 72* for us taller players…

You can get into the odysseys for 350 or less if you catch any sales, discounts etc. I dont get taylormade making it 100$ more expensive then their standard spiders but I think odyssey coming in under the labs was a good idea.

To be clear the Canadian guy (and my perception as well) stated he felt the Golftown location north of Toronto put these on the shelf prematurely. I would say tihs is not the first time Golftown has done this, mostly retired guys working the stores LOL, but I believe this was a mistake by local staffers. Here's the quote from the guy that posted the pic:

 

I was in Golftown [blank] yesterday to try out putters and my wife handed me one and said “Try this one” and it was a 5K-ZT. I knew they weren’t released yet and googled it and you can’t even buy one off eBay. For whatever reason Golftown [blank] had a 34”,35” and 38” CB. I’m assuming they were ment to be displays or something.

I bought the 34”. I know I could have bought the others and made money as you can’t buy one anywhere online but that seemed greedy. Anyone that’s really looking forward to their release can go buy one of the other 2.

It doesn’t have any forward press (shaft lean) similar to the OZ and Antidote SB2 and it feels amazing!
 

For those who are curious, $649 for the 'standard' $699 for the CB 38" in the People's Republic of Canada (I struck out the store location as the last thing we need is a bunch of Yanks running up here on Memorial Day with the strong US dollar walking away with all our putters for the equivalent of about $299 US LOL!!).

It’s only the 70* model to start. They’ll offer the other lie angle options in custom later on.
