Every single time I see these, or the LAB DF putters, all I can think of is that they remind me of the head shape of the aliens in the movie "Alien".... And Odyssey...for the love of everything holy - the dark navy/royal color combo has got to end!!!

Patents are super easy to circumvent. Subtle differences in the design make it a 'new' design. I don't think anyone is going to be sued. There are several differences in these designs.

It wasn't really a Never Compromise issue, more of a FootJoy issue, as his head came off so did his shoes.

 

He did eventually make a fantastic up and down to get in the playoff, and he came back and made a par with his putter a few months later for a promo video.

How is it not the same ? Its a press grip that installs off center to eliminate the need to forward press..What am i missing ?

dunno if its just pic or what but it looks like a reverse taper to my eyes which isnt what the press grip does. Its also flat sided on target side like an armlock grip, which the press grips dont do either.

The DF3 is shaped EXACTLY like a toilet. I just purchased one and I’m not sure if it’ll even make past being house unfortunately..

Wow they're not even trying to hide it now, that's pretty egregious. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't LAB have a patent on that kind of grip?

Quick use of InDesign shows subtle angle differences between A/B (Shaft) & C (front edge of grip) as not just an 'offset' from center placement.

 

Interesting that we haven't heard anything from L.A.B. especially after the back and forth a couple months ago regarding the differences in the revealer other testers were using

They have patents on grips. In fact some of the grips have the patent numbers printed on them, but I’m not here to act like I’m an expert on what the patents are for or an expert in patent law

Ah ok, I've never noticed that on the grips but I have seen it on the sole of the DF 2.1. Definitely a good point you make to what extent the patents cover as well.

I rolled these the other day.  Copy or not, I don't care.  The Odyssey feels much better than the LAB off the face.  I feel a little more head weight in the Odyssey which is what I don't really love about the LAB putters as well.  Just my feels but I prefer the Odyssey.

Did the one you hit have forward shaft lean? Pictures look like it may have zero shaft lean

Not that it would change your mind, but you can get heavier LAB heads.
