I think most fitters would say that you should care less about what the number on the bottom of the club is and worry more about filling your distance gaps. The 50, 55, 60 works for many but it’s more about having a 12 yard (could be a different number of yards) gap between clubs/shots. For some, that may be 50, 54, 60.

For those that have been fit already, did the fitting kit include more than 7 iron heads? Curious how you knew where to split the combo sets and into utility. I struggle with the transition at the top part of my bag (5i -> 5w). Locally in Kansas City I haven't been able to find a location that has all the options available to truly get fit into something. I've been guessing between 4 U505, 4 T200, and 4 hybrids and hoping there's a better way to go about it.

When I did a Titleist fitting, it was through a regional Titleist fitting specialist that was conducting the fitting event at a local course. Grass range, trackman, prov1s, and multiple heads. From what I remember, the 7 iron heads were the one used to dial in head/shaft combo. But they had prebuilt 4, 5, 6 irons (cant remember if they also had them higher than 7i) in popular shafts to determine where to combo the set at. I was lucky that I generally fit into X100 and they had X100 prebuilt in 4-6 for most of the heads. Best fitting experience I've had to date.

Edit to add that this was a couple years ago.

I’ve tried it and went back to 50/54/60. The 50-54 gap is key for me and wanting the 54 to go about 100 on a nice easy swing, and 50 on an easy half swing. The gap 54-60 or 55-60  really matter as I never hit a full swing 60 unless there is tree in the way.

Was fit this past Tuesday as a Titleist LAS Staff Member.  Hit every iron in the lineup.  As others have mentioned, small refinements in the T100 and T150, with the T250 and T350 getting more of an overhaul.  When it came to my personal fitting, ended up in the same setup as current:

T250u 3-Iron

T100 4-PW

Standard length, and went back to standard lie from 1* flat after making a subtle swing change.  I've left the lofts standard throughout, as we saw peak heights at around 110 throughout the set, even with the 45* PW.  No real change to carry numbers, and need to weaken lofts to gain launch/height.

Love your golf course Michael! Played it a bunch when I lived in Toronto back in 2010-2013 while working at Scarboro G&C.C.

Hope everything is going well in the Big Smoke!

Is it fair to say that it is very unlikely that they will update the available shafts with the new release?

I'm hoping they make MMT 125 available in stiff, or make Axiom or Dart V available period.

I hit them yesterday, and still no idea why they keep stamping degree on the pitch.  I know a lot won't care about it, but some have OCD about having a wrong degree number on the club.  My current 46 degree T100 PW goes 132-134 and then a 50 vokey goes 118-120.  Which I find to be at the HIGHER end of where I would want to go (for me).  New T100 was 135-137 consistently, sure it's only a few yards, but now my gapping is way too far for my liking.

I played around with some vokey 46 degree wedges then the gap between that and the 9 was too much, and just didn't like the consistency of the vokey on full swings.

However it is very easy to blend at the mid iron range now.

This is exactly my concern, previously I still had a gap 46 wedge to 50 vokey so moved to the t100 50 gap wedge which solved that. Did you look at the t100 gap wedge. It does just move the problem up one club but to an easier to manage distance.

Hello and thank you.  Yes I read this.  Just wondering if they will have any additional shafts.  The UST Recoil 65 & 95 are discountinued so was checking to see if they are adding the new Darts or the Dart ESX and even the HDCs.  Some goes with the Nippon NEOs are they adding the other weight classes.

Thanks again!

Welcome.  Seems unlikely they will do that right now.  Those refreshes occur usually October - Jan

@Carolina Golfer 2, is the 250* a thing, and if so was there any thought to starting at 250* 5I vs 250 6I strong?

It definitely is a thing.  But the fitting heads are delayed about 6 weeks due to a late change in them.   He would have liked for me to hit them.  But didn’t want to delay my order.  When they do get to the fitting carts we will try them and see if there are any performance gains vs the current setup.

Can’t list them here but there is a pretty substantial difference in lofts of the 250 and 250*   So will be curious to see.

This is spot on accurate.   But mine also had fixed 9 and P heads in all models and various shafts.   I hit some really nice PW shots with the T100.  But about 12 yards shorter than the 250.  And im already short enough. 😬

I got fit into T200s early this spring, but have newbie questions since my fitter put me into this line after only hitting a 6 iron. I hit 4-6 well and struggle at times with 7-GW (ball flight too high which leads me a club short). It sounds like combo sets are popular, but I would have never known to do that on my own until seeing this thread.

I had PXG irons before where my gapping was consistent. I'm a lefty which limits some testing, but I guess it would be on me to ask a fitter to hit multiple irons (6, 8, PW for example) if available once this new line debuts – right? Or do fitters have an idea when a player can go 4-5 in 250s and 6-GW in the 150s?

Titleist definitely carries/sells shafts that are not listed in this booklet. Call them and ask for what you’re looking for and you might get lucky

I didn’t see one, while you are right about moving it up a club, I chip with my 50 vokey quite a bit. Having said all of this, right now it’s the best I’ve ever hit my irons so Im gonna stick around till something changes.

I get it.  But i know some Srixon staff that sold thir Zxi before it was launched to the public.   So i meant it wouldn’t be the first for that or friends of tour to grab and sell.

How they stamp (accurately) the loft on the wedge would have nothing to do with your personal gaps. Head scratcher - are you suggesting when they stamp 50 degrees it isn't?
