yeah everybody has their preference in feel but honestly after a few rounds and if you tend to hit the middle of the club face feel is an afterthought. I’ve went from Miura to titleist and back to Miura and honestly the feel difference wasn’t important to me.

Agree.   But not many amatuers really hit the center of the face 😆

also think most get sound confused with feel

As a Miura owner I don’t think they will ever get to that point with T series irons but with Miura feeling irons you sacrifice some distance and forgiveness. At this point in my life I appreciate a few extra yards.

Notice I said approaching, not the same.

Why make up strawmans? Plenty of folks have hit more than a few models of Miura. This is a forum of equipment enthusiasts after all.

And plenty of people haven’t….a lot of these people tend to make Miura more than it is. Are they nice quality? Absolutely but there are also plenty of irons that are a better fit for people. The main reason I play Miura irons is for the turf interaction and the extra spin I get from them. As I said before feel is very subjective and not all people care for how soft Miura irons are. Will I ever buy another set? Probably not, for $2800-$3000 I can get way more bang for my buck. I would argue 620CB’s feel better than most Miura irons and cost half the money.

Over the years I've had three sets of LH Miura forged CBs and 6 sets of forged Titleist irons (690MB, 690.CB, 695CB, 710CB, 712CB, T100S, plus the cast DCI 962) and the Miuras all felt better than any of the Titleist sets. The T100S might be the worst-feeling set of irons I've ever owned, and I'm a Titleist fan.

Like I said feel is very subjective and not all people are looking for the same thing. 620CB and MB are completely different irons feel wise from any of the irons you listed. When I did my T Series fitting 2 years ago I was gaming 620CB’s and had instant regret as soon as I placed my order for T100’s. Miura softness is pretty much unmatched but like I said previously with the Miura feel comes lack of distance and forgiveness help.

It’s a thread about T100 replacements and you’re writing blog posts about how people don’t really know about Miuras, but you do. 🤣

No I simply replied to the comment of T100’s need to have Miura feel. Take it how you want

You’re right! Instead of letting people respond to a poster that brought up Miura feels,   Let’s get back on topic!

Who’s got their shipping notice?

who’s scheduled their fitting?

who’s club pro has seen the new irons?

What are we speculating they will look like?

what do we hope they will feel like? (Don’t mention miura!)

did I already ask if anyone got their shipping notice?

I’m going out on a limb and saying two tournaments away, which would be the PGA, which I know makes no sense that anyone would even mess around at a major with a new iron.   But remember most tour staff have already seen and tried these so it may not be outrageous.  And if I’m wrong.  No biggie, we wait one more week.

A while back, I messed with some Miura irons, they are soft like butter, much softer feeling than any Titleist MB.  With Miura I had to change balls to feel impact.  Don't see Titleist having that as a goal but who knows.  If T100 or 620 MB or CB heads got any softer, not sure what I'd do.

When it comes to blades, IMO simplified, there are only two types of user, those that like butter - soft feeling heads, almost can't feel the ball at impact, and those like me that prefer a more noticeable impact, so when the club head hits the ball, it talks to my hands.  As an old-school guy, I never want to have to look up to see where my ball is going, just know from impact.

My first set of Titleist was in 2004, 670 MB.  A pure strike with those was very similar to 718 & 620 MB, only 670 MB were surely more difficult to use, reason only 20 sets on tour at the time.

I am sure they could improve the feel of T100, only can't imagine how that will manifest itself.  As it is, T100 3i-PW feels great, and they talk too.  Only now 3i-6i T100 is in the bag matched with 620 MB 7i-PW.

Titleist new iron cycle hits around mid-August.  We shall see.

I agree on irons getting too soft. I tend to always go back to titleist irons because I like the slightly clicky feeling most of them provide. Hopefully they reintroduce some form of CB this cycle and not the usual T Series stuff.

I got a set of Bridgestone 242CB+ irons over the winter and they feel much better than the T100S (which I still have). The Bridgestones are more forgiving and a little longer for me with the same loft/length/lie/shaft as the T100S. I thought I would be getting the T150, but wasn't crazy about the feel with those either after hitting them.

Like I said, I'm a big Titleist guy, but for me they need to improve the feel of the irons.

Sound and touch are different senses.  They do influence one another, but they are distinctly different.

feel is more unique to the person and a combination of things, (sound, touch, memories)

I've grown to like the feel of T150. They feel fine out of the center. You aren't supposed to like the feel of a mishit, IMO. But I like the results of those mishits with T150, especially thin strikes. Although they aren't that great a little higher on the face. The long irons in the set are very forgiving.

Titleist has enough feedback on feel from the T series to know it’s considered lackluster. I expect we will get a softer forging this time around.

Srixon and Taylormade have both noticeably improved feel this year. I’ve never hit Ping blueprint but by all accounts they have as well. Callaway delivered their tech forged iron with soft feel as well. Even vokey felt the urge to soften the SM10 due to competition.

There’s no doubt Titleist will comply with the market wanting better feel as they move their price even higher.

I fully expect something special this time around and a $300/club price point to match it.

Give me Srixon feel, Titleist spin/launch profile, and keep the size similar to existing t100 and I’ll have the credit card ready.
