It definitely is a thing.  But the fitting heads are delayed about 6 weeks due to a late change in them.   He would have liked for me to hit them.  But didn’t want to delay my order.  When they do get to the fitting carts we will try them and see if there are any performance gains vs the current setup.

Can’t list them here but there is a pretty substantial difference in lofts of the 250 and 250*   So will be curious to see.

Are the 250* just 250s bent weak?
Or are they their own animal?

Same beast, different animal. The heads are manufactured to increase launch and are not just 250s bent weak. As mentioned previously  in the thread, they will launch for order towards the end of August instead of July 10th with the rest of the lineup.

so T100/t150 no change in feel is what im hearing?

No thanks.

I guess some won't care.  They did need some help in the feel dept.

I can’t say change or no change as i didn’t play the previous version.  But if this T100 doesn’t feel good to someone.  Then i don’t know what to say.   As i mentioned earlier.  I don’t have the speed to play them effectively.  But the feel and sound were fantastic

So the new T series line will be available for pre-order on the 10th? I was under the impression the 10th was just the day the embargo is lifted.

I’m ‘guessing’ you will see the new lineup available for purchase on the Titleist website around the same day, with deliveries 4 to 6 weeks thereafter. You’ll probably see them in stores around the third week in August. Just a guess. I don’t know for sure, could be wrong, have been before.

How they stamp (accurately) the loft on the wedge would have nothing to do with your personal gaps. Head scratcher - are you suggesting when they stamp 50 degrees it isn't?

I have no idea what you are saying and I don’t think you do either.
1. I said 45 and 50 is too much of gap for me, and for others. When paying 1500 for clubs they don’t want to see degree stamped on an iron when it will be bent to something else. Hence the statement, “I don’t know why they keep stamping degrees on a pitching wedge”

2. In case you didn’t know (which I never brought up in this thread ) quality control is not very good. I just got a brand new sm10 50 which was 52.5.

They do it to entice you in to buy a vokey with the loft you want stamped on it 🙂

its intentional

Exactly why the 45 degree wedge makes even less sense now that the 9 iron is 41.
“Bladed” style wedge goes less than a set one t100. So vokey 46 and then t100 9i at 41 would create an even bigger gap, unless you bend the 9.
All I said was I don’t understand why they keep standing the loft on the wedge if a lot of people will have them bent.

Right.  They make a 44 degree vokey now.  Released not longer ago, just prior to this release.

not a coincidence, they want you to buy a vokey

What’s your point they also released gap sand and loft wedges without any degrees on them.

That they want you to buy a vokey, which you are continuing to support with what your pointing out (and example you want a wedge with the discreet loft your playing stamped on it?  But a vokey.  You want a wedge with no loft number stamped, but a vokey…😀)

Thats my point

Your post said nothing about wedges being bent, just a wandering rant about numbers on the wedges.

You've clarified - sure some get bent, I'd wager the vast majority sold to most golfers don't get bent at all.

Anyway, you don't like 'em - okay then.  Most companies have the numbers, I'd expect that's the way it will be.  If I had a 56 or a 58 bent to a 57 for some reason, I can't imagine looking at the club and being bugged by it even a little bit - I know what the loft is if I had it bent, lol. I care how far it goes, whatever number is on it.

Based on all the feedback so far and the loft change on t100s this is sounding like a skip for me, don’t think will even get fit for the new t150/t100. Will likely pick up a t250 4 iron as soon as they are available though, I’ve gotten on ok with t200 4 iron but often prefer the t150 5 iron off the tee on tight holes, it just has a more reliable solid feel.

Briefly hit the t250* today. Was told that the lofts would mimic the MB irons. I didn’t directly hit any of the others or get them on a monitor so I can’t really compare. Visually I was carrying them about the same as my ZX7s. They seem like a nice addition. I historically launch “hollow body” irons too low to be useful.

First tour win for the new t series.  And it was a former 620 player.

Thats a real good sign for the t100/150 short and mid irons which just didn’t seem to make into the bags of those the winners circle (yes there’s tom Kim a couple others but most were 620 series till 5/6)

Hope the fire is put out on the silly wedge loft argument, but I wanted to make sure that folks know loft doesn't really matter. It doesn't matter if it's a 44, 45, or 46 as long as the gap between your 9 iron and your first wedge is acceptable. Titleist is on record saying that lofts were strengthened to maintain launch condition integrity and properly gap.

Do we know the loft difference between the standard 250 and the 250*?

I always take my 54* Vokey wedge and bend it to 55*, because in my limited bag I only play one lofted wedge and a PW.  I'm not long enough anymore to play more.  And the 54* stamp never bothers me one iota.

The guy was complaining about the quality control of factory Vokey wedge loft was off by 2.5 degrees. Most likely it wasn’t and the machine he checked it on wasn’t calibrated correctly. I’ve never seen a Vokey wedge be off by that much

My last Vokey 50 was 48 loft and 66 lie on a measuring gauge.  It happens
