They really need to change the cavity material on the t100/150.  Never seen a properly used set where this wasn't stained and looked crappy. Otherwise flawless two generations in a row.

T200 needs to try harder. No more plastic hubcaps would be a great start.

Where do stains appear? I have mine since European launch so I guess 18 months or so, and they look as new pretty much, certainly heavily used 2/3 times a week through all seasons.

Obviously.. I would like the black set initially.. I dont see many buying the chrome set and then the black set right before the new series launches.

Yeah, I dont think many are buying both. But some will grab the black late and they can up the price a smidge..

I’ve been a titleist wh0re for most of my life, since 93/4 DCI gold ➡️ 962b➡️ AP2 716. Itching for a new set and thought I liked the T200 but that was vacation bias. Tried the T100 and T150 and really didn’t like the feel and wasn’t impressed with the looks. Not sure why. Just weren’t for me.

It won't happen. But I'd like a smaller foot print and thinner top line on the 150. Similar to the 100s. Even though I play the 100....

See if u can find a set of the 2021 T 100-S irons. Those irons are pretty much exactly what u are describing. I still have them in the bag, amazing irons and won’t be changing until i am forced to.

They’re releasing them earlier this go around thank God.   In hand by June I’m being told.  They typically start seeding in June and in hand by end of august/sept.

With that track seeding should start relatively soon for this release.

Yes my fitter was telling me his Titleist rep said they are releasing the new irons much earlier this go around.  Someone maybe has been listening to us at Titleist.   Drove me bananas every launch.   We wouldn’t get the new products in hand until late end of summer/fall when season is winding down.  LFG!!!!!!!!   I’d seriously love to know, when they announce the new products are “tour seeding”, have they ever put a new iron, driver, product in a tour pro’s hand during that time as they are advertising to public what’s coming, only to have the launch delayed because JT or Speith didn’t like them?  Has that ever happened?   “Oh wait we gotta go back and make adjustments..”.   Seems like a marketing plan they use every go around.  I dont buy it.  They have to have their factory in China or Vietnam cranking out the manufacturing of the products and then shipped and distributed out in time frame.   There’s just no way that happens.   Not buying the tour seeding thing.

im on a different page because innovation doesnt really jump in a 2 year cycle, only looks.   Id rather have a 3 to 4 year cycle but no company can stay in business that way.  I still play the CB 712 which is one of the best irons Titleist has ever produced.  I had a set of T100-S irons a few years ago and I thought they were a failure.....the 712 was still better after all these years. Im really hoping for a nice improvement in the T150 or T200 model as I am looking to upgrade.

mizzy s3 is a 3-4 year cycle...........go hit them 😉 they got my 710cb out of the bag

Gt280.  That was spotted being on the range and bags 6+ months ago.  Will be 8 months from sighting to release

My guess is the mid season release is very intentional.

Still sell last release cycle for folks buying equipment as they prep for and begin the new season(Jan, feb, march, April) and then potentially lure some of those folks into the new product again in June/July.

its only benefits them in total sales, there’s no downside in mid season release to their total sales

I'd be surprised if a lot of people are still buying last cycles releases at this time. Most buyers are probably gravitating to the most recent iron releases. If you're an avid golfer and fit into the T100 or 150 you already know the next release is a few months away. I've also noticed fitters and reps shying away from recommending the 2023/2024 releases during fittings and demo days. Its not a good look if you fit someone into a set of irons that get discounted and updated before they even receive their custom build in the mail.

I think this applies to golf wrx users, but most golfers aren’t on golf wrx.

I know of 4 golfers locally that were fit into new equipment in the last 4 months and 3 of the 4 were fit into the t series irons.

Another was fit in zx mkii in like October.

all through club champion.

Also, none of the small shops around here mention a new release is coming out in couple months if someone is coming into get fit for a product that’s nearing end of cycle.  The average golfer doesn’t have any idea of when release cycles occur.

edit: I’ll add one of those golfers mentioned above also had a separate fitting for driver in April or May of last year at CC and was fit into a TSR3.  Order it through CC the day of the fit with an upcharge shaft.  Within a week or so the TSR3 retail price dropped at almost all retailers.  Club champion told him the price is the price he paid on the date and to go pound sand.

That's reasonable. Do you think fitters should have an obligation to consult their customers about buying clubs late in their lifecycle?

The OEM reps I've dealt with over the years have been very honest with me when recommending clubs. A lot of the time they actually dissuade from making a purchase if the model is going to go on sale or replaced soon.

One dilemma I currently have is that I no longer fit into my current irons (shafts no longer suit me) so I'd like to replace them for this season. I was recently fit into the T150s at a Titleist Demo Day and they suit me well but I don't want to buy a set of irons getting updated a few months from now. I also don't want to play another season with the wrong shafts. Do I go with another OEM even if they're iron doesn't fit me? Do I be patient? Or do I just bite the bullet and buy the current T150s? I think that's something fitters could really help their customers with.

I don’t think fitters are obligated to talk customers about buying equipment late in lifecycle, since you are getting fit for products currently available and their performance for that individual.  You won’t know how the new product performs for that customers.  If the customer ask, sure it can be a discussion point however I don’t think its an obligation if the customer doesn’t ask. I do think they should price match if the price drops within a week or two of purchase…. Potentially up to the time of delivery.

its a delima for sure.  Hers what I would think if I’m an oem, I win either way.  “Best” case for me as an oem.  You buy t150 now, and then I in 4 months you buy the new release cause you just love it!  “Better” case for me as oem is you wait to buy the new release in 4 months.  “Good” case for me as an oem, you don’t see performance benefit of the new stuff in 4 months and you buy the newly discounted t150.   In all cases I win, and in some scenarios I sell two sets of irons!

I'd wait until the new model comes out then buy the older model at a discount

Does Titleist actually discount their older models or do they just stop offering them? If so, do they allow custom orders or just stock? I know some OEMs offer their older models at a discount and a few even allow you to continue to custom order older models.

They discount their models a month or two before the new cycles is released.  They also offer those as a custom order.

Trying to stay on topic here I just wish that when these new irons do release that they are significantly better than what’s out there right now and I love my T150s.    Somebody mentioned above about the two year cycle,  PXG doesn’t do it that way and they seem to be doing fine.    I get it when you’re dealing with a publicly traded company. You have have to come out with new stuff to keep the stock up.   We’ll see.   Again, not to veer off here on the titleist  thread, I did hit the new Mizuno Pro S-3 not long ago and i swear they were the most beautiful irons for me in terms of look at address and feel that I’ve hit in a very long time. It was very hard for me not to put them in the bag, but I told my fitter I’m gonna sit tight for now because I know Titleist  is coming out with new irons, i’m really comfortable right now with what I have,  so when they launch, I’m just gonna compare apples to apples and make the call.  It’s killing me though. Just killing me.   Lol

I think you guys are confusing the knowledge of the GolfWRX site with “fitters”. I cannot count the number of times that I mention to a sales guy/fitter at a big box store about new product coming soon, and they had no idea.

Just get the Mizzys, and enjoy them for the unknown amount of months until Titleist releases their next product. Worst case, you can always sell them to buy the Titleists, best case you spend more time with irons you already know you love.

There was a guy who posted a lot here that always had the scoop way before the reps. Rumor is legal finally shut him down.
