Moving to Boca Raton/Delray/Parkland area w/ family of 5 - can someone help me with understanding the private club options?

We have already been window shopping real estate on Redfin and similar sites. One thing I noticed is that many of the clubs require home ownership in the club neighborhood (like Stonebridge or Woodfield). Some have long wait lists even if you buy a home in the neighborhood (Woodfield). And to be honest - we like the homes at some of the newer developments (like Lotus) that do not have golf at all.

So before I reach out to each of the clubs individually, I thought I would ask here:

Which clubs don't have have waitlists and/or residency requirements in Boca?
Since my kids play junior golf and tennis, are their clubs to avoid (because they are more senior focused)?
Some of the homes we like are on courses like Bocaire, Delaire, Broken Sound, and Parkland -- any thoughts on those clubs?

Ideally I want to live in the course community, have the kids be able to ride bikes or carts to club activities, and have the club amenities right there. I would love for someone to help me navigate this since I know virtually nothing about these clubs.

I live in West Delray and I was a prospective member at Delaire last year. It's beautiful, good course and practice facility. Great tennis and pickleball courts. New clubhouse and more construction this year and next. My buddy lives in Broken Sound and he told me there is a waiting list for both courses. If you want to be a member at the "Old Course" the initiation fee is $140,000. A lot of people are trying to sell their house because the Clubhouse and HOA fees are insane. 2 years ago someone "misplaced 3-5 million dollars so they have a shortage. Good luck

Woodfield/St Andrews/Broken Sound are all top notch clubs. Its more about you visiting and seeing where you and family fit in. I have friends at Woodfield and they love hanging with the Langers. All three clubs are also zoned for nationally ranked schools both public and private. Addison Reserve is also worth checking out as well.

Woodfield seems ideal. I understand there’s lots of children in that neighborhood. However, the homes that are available don’t really seem to be that nice (some are really needing renovations) and yet seemed to be priced at top dollar. Someone has a lot with approved plans for a home ( but no actual home) for $3M (+ $400k if you want the golf membership to transfer).

Welcome to Boca Raton. It's one of the most expensive places on earth. There is probably more value in Parkland, but you are also in Broward County. I would consult a realtor to get the ins and outs once you narrow it down.
