I never want to hear another negative word about Rory ever again - yes that was an absolute trainwreck, yes that was majestic, but my goodness he is otherworldly and deserves to be remembered as one of the true legends of the game forever.

Yes. In the excitement of the tournament itself, the big picture can get a little blurry. Rory just joined a club composed of a very small and elite group of golfers. A club many of the best never managed to get into.

His driving and short game/putting are pretty good. Iron game needs work.

Three time FedEx Cup champion. Six time Race to Dubai winner. Five time Ryder Cup winner. Two time Players Championship winner. And he broke a 10-year major drought to be one of six people to win the career grand slam for his fifth major victory.

 

I had my doubts that we were going to see it happen, especially when he started the round with a disastrous double-bogey, but I could not ask for a better champion. I cannot imagine the weight that lifted off him after sinking that putt on 18.
