Honestly I miss the old Bryson. Saying stuff like Augusta is a par 67, drinking a gazillion protein shakes, openly saying he hates his driver, walking into ropes and Brooks publicly hating him was the best version of Bryson. He needs to bring back the flat cap as well. Looking back we never realized how good we had it. Someone should build a time machine go back to 2022 and freeze that version of Bryson like in Captain America so that we can preserve him forever.

I’ve seen at least two better in my lifetime but it’s always a matter of opinion. 

Wasn’t in my top 5 but I was watching Woosie’s win last night.  At one point 5 guys within one shot on the back nine and there were four other guys other than Ian who could have won it. Balls in the water, missed short putts - when I watched I was rooting for Lanny - he should have had it and let it drown. Watson with missed short putts and eagles and double, etc. Pretty exciting.

Although I was too young to remember Jack in 86 was pretty special.

2019 was certainly huge but history wasn't made. 1986 was also quite special when Jack became the oldest major winner. But 2025 is the best in my life. So much backstory with an 11 year struggle with heart pounding drama. Most importantly seeing Rory become the 6th person in the history of the game become a career Grand Slam winner was the most special in my lifetime.

Yeah, I'm with ya here. 

 

2019 was great because Tiger but it was pretty much in the bag by 16. All he really had to do was not blow it on 17 and 18 and I don't think anyone expected that was gonna happen. The only real drama was Brooks' putt on 18 ... that he missed a good what, like 20mins before Tiger got there? And woulda just meant he'd have needed par on 18 to win. So still not much. (Still think he kinda shanked that approach ... I don't think he MEANT to miss the 72nd green by that much.)

 

This one was totally edge of seat the entire second 9. I can't think of any other tournament I've watched in my ~40 years of watching golf where I absolutely couldn't step away.

No, I am a huge Tiger fan and I might have wanted that one more than Rory’s but as a whole and in terms of four day entertainment value 2025 blows it out of the water.

Amazing Masters, I already miss it.  Masters week is the best.

 

My wife was at the Thursday round (her first time at the Masters) and then on Sunday we did our Taste of the Masters party.  What a Sunday, even our kids who don't love watching golf were glued to the TV.
