I had a chance to roll one today and I really liked how it felt. I might have to grab one in the future as missed out on the Toulon version after his major win.

I think some came off on loft.  Mine had 6* and just put it on my loft lie and adjusted to 3* and it looks perfect.   Maybe they confused them for arm locks 😂

Wow, quite a bummer to see how many folks are seeing issues.  Perhaps I got lucky, though I did spec 2 degrees flat so they should be checking loft after adjusting.

 

I have to say, I've never been big on #7, but I've had credit with Callaway sitting for awhile and decided to try this.  Pretty glad I did, it is rolling pure.

Yep. You appear to have gotten a good one. No bends in your neck. Real bummer that they have an issue. I'm contemplating trying to get one in a store where I can actually see what I'm buying.

so does yours have the toulon sole plate? If so, they must have had NOS laying around.

If you bought it from Toulon and had an issue with it and reached out they would take care of it.  
 

I can vouch for toulons customer service.  They are uber responsive and you will likely get an owner responding you your mail.

Yup.

 

id encourage anyone that thinks the hosel is bent while in store to pull out a credit card and use that to determine if it’s bent.  Also do the same against some other version of a 7ch if they have it in store.

 

I have the Toulon version and from certain angles it definitely looks like there is some bend in the hosel.  When I put a straight edge next to it. I see it doesn’t have any bend.

I have the OG Toulon as well and pulled it out immediately to look at it again after seeing this thread😂

I’m telling you, from certain angles it looks bent.  I think it has less loft than the ody version which also helps.

 

I can understand why it might irk some people visually.

Yep!  When I looked at mine everything looked fine. The new version definitely looks altered based on the posted pics.

Yeah, the one did for sure.  The other look like mine.  that’s why I suggested use the credit card to check it out.  
 

you may not like the look, but atleast you won’t worry about the hosel being altered or out of spec

Very unfortunate. For me Callaway/Odyssey has been going downhill for years. I’ve had way too many bad experiences to even consider having another one of their clubs.

It's not just Callaway, it's any company beholden to shareholders that demand profits go up.  Mass production and cost cutting will inevitably lead to more variance.  There are hundreds if not thousands of posts around here saying the same thing about every major club manufacturer. 

 

If quality is most important you should be working with bespoke makers, not mass manufacturers.  There is a reason they are cheaper.

The two in stock at my local Golf Galaxy in Pittsburgh looked totally fine.

 

However, they did not sit flat at all. I think that's owing to the design of the putter itself, but it didn't want to sit square when soled. Felt awesome, and maybe fixable with a loft/lie adjustment, but I'd never be comfortable over the ball.

Some of these larger mallets have a tendency to do that.  The Spider has been that way for as long as I can remember.  The 7 CH I have in another line sometimes wants to flop closed.  It's the one thing I really like about the narrow sole of blades.

I can tell you that on carpet and grass mine sits perfectly still at address.  On hard floor it opens a little.

Had a chance to try a guy's on the putting green today.  Seemed like it had 6 degrees of loft.  Still, beautiful putter and feels good.

I called Callaway to see if they're the same since I had just bought the Toulon off Xanders site. He wasn't sure other than cosmetics, packaging and the head cover. 
He said the seven is having production problems bent shafts for one and they've stopped production so keep the one I have. 
Has anyone heard this or knows if they've really stopped shipping them. 
I went on the Callaway site to see. The dedicated page is gone.
