I ordered the plumbers neck Spider Tour X last year when it came out, it was really  off, took it back.  A friend of mine got one the same day, his was perfect. 

 

I had the Xander Toulon in the shopping cart the day they were released, couldn't pull the trigger....

Xander went to a Toulon milled odyssey seven years ago. Prior to his big run from what I understand.

New old stock.  If it has the Toulon sole, they seem to sell for a lot more. So I would say just keep it.

I don't understand how a milled neck is bent so bad.

My guess something happened to the heads in transport to odyssey or something.  Not that hard to bend a neck this thin.

Also they adjust right back very easily but I get that not everyone has easy access to loft lie machine.

Tried one of these at PGASS. Looked good, and sat perfectly, which I agree with many others in here isn't always the case with Ody lately. Something bothers me knowing there is a "better" version out there though.

Headcover and grip I believe.  Other than that just specs as far as I know.

Welp I give up. Ordered one from a store online and it turned out that they were out of stock. Went to the store today to check out one locally and it was way off. Tried the spider tour X CH and they worked better anyway.

I got a chance to roll these and noticed all three were off. Sucks. I missed the chance for the Toulon version when it dropped.

My local Edwin watts had two of these in stock. One had a bent hosel and the other didn’t. Was pretty clear looking at both of them side by side. The Callaway rep happened to be there and he agreed.

This release is about a disastrous as the Rahm with its wrong insert.  What a mess.

The loft is just off a little. Not ideal if you don’t have access to loft lie machine, but I think it’s a little of an overreaction to say it’s the worse thing to ever happen 😂 they bend right back to normal.  It’s odd though I give you all that.

Sure, for those of us paying attention and informed not a huge deal.  But these were sold mass market.  Bunch of people out there with a terrible lofted putter that won't know why it's not putting a great roll on the ball.

Yeah that’s a good and fair point.  People probably are noticing because all 3 were still sitting at the superstore today.  They looked pretty good to the eye but one clearly had a lot of loft.  I’ve had to bend all the jailbirds and spiders I’ve bought too though.  Just where quality is with all the big manufacturers right now.

Okay guys stopped at my local store.  Rolled one and loved the feel.  Never tried a Toulon diamond mill before but it’s very nice.  The red finish on the head is pretty.  Loft appeared to be correct.  The stepped dark chrome shaft feels like medium flex.  I actually didn’t hate the SS grip like normally.  It was 90% properly aligned.  Does anyone know what the grip weighs all in?  May grab a similar weight Odyssey rubber grip.  Overall it has very nice weighting.  Spent some money I didn’t need too.  Was going to get a Toulon LV carbon but they’re not for sale so this will be my toe hang mallet for the year.  Really liked it on the practice green.

I can vouch for toulons customer service.  They are uber responsive and you will likely get an owner responding you your mail.

It says in small print no returns on custom orders and in smaller print this includes limited editions. They finally agreed if I'd cover shipping and a small restocking fee of $20 they'd take it back but after finding this thread I'm glad I have it. The quality looks amazing and it's a beautiful putter. I'm thinking it was part of the Toulons original run.

If it’s the pistol 2.0 it should be about 51g. You could probably get a rubber grip close to that.

Seeing these for $429 sitting next to a Scotty for $450 is an interesting conundrum. Not really sure there’s even a comparison in quality.

Absolutely not.  The Scottys and LABs are way better.  Seems like a money grab from Odyssey.  Who is running it now that Sean Toulon is gone?

So I was practicing on the carpet and noticed a funny noise.  The weight on the heel side was loose.  Tightened it of course.  I'm wondering about the quality of these for that price.  Does not feel as high quality as my $135 DFX Oddy.

 

Put it on the scale and it's 509 grams.  That's lighter than a 2008 Newport with a PP58 PING grip.  Is Xander gaming a 509g putter?

 

Doing that math - according to the specs:

 

- 360g head

- 51g pistol 2.0 grip

- 98g shaft

 

Does this seem correct?  I doubt the Toulon versions are this light but I haven't handled one.
