Less expensive polos?

Looking for a few nicer looking polos that I could wear for both on the course and off, i.e. less prominent logos so not Nike. I like the look of Holderness and Bourne stripped polos just wondering if anyone has some less expensive alternatives?

You could look at the PGA Tour line. They typically have a small logo stitched on the sleeve that is the same color of the shirt so not noticeable. Also check out 32 degrees. Very comfortable with no logos and come mostly in solid colors.

Ben Hogan has a golf line at Walmart with no logo. Not going to get much cheaper than that for a new polo.

Target golf line is nice, but just like the Hogan shirts I don’t recommend either if you play golf in hot and humid conditions. I’m trying to find some as well that breath a bit more for those hot muggy days, but I haven’t found any yet.

Rock Bottom Golf is worth checking out.  I've bought shirts from there before.  Sometimes limited sizes but they have stuff coming in all the time it seems like, just have scroll through them.

I routinely get Johnnie-o, Peter milar, Donald Ross for $30ish brand new.

+1 The Hogan brand of Polos are are under $30 each made by Perry Ellis which gives a lot of value for your dollar.

I might have to order a few of those.  The brand "Obla" on Amazon makes some nice polos as well.  I got one of their polos for Christmas a few years ago from my soon to be Mother in Law and loved the feel and fit.  I ended up buying quite of the other colors available a few months later.

No joke, if you don't mind wearing previous years styles, you can get amazing deals on Puma, Footjoy and a couple other middle of the road guys.  Greyson, PM, H&B and the higher end brands, you can also find some steals on Poshmark, at TJ Maxx and then on their respective websites if you watch for select sales and certain discounts.  You can typically find at least 1 colorway of the Greyson Saranac(their base striped polo) for around $50 on their site.

 

Maelreg on Amazon, as others have mentioned, are nice quality for super cheap.

If they fit you, Adidas are typically pretty affordable.  They aren’t the quality of Holderness or Peter Millar, but they’re about half the cost.  They don’t fit my body shape very well or I’d wear them.

 

The PGA Tour shirts are cheaper, as are the Hogans.  I would look at TGW and Carls Golfland and see what they have discounted.  There are often some shirts really heavily discounted.

 

If there’s a PGA Tour Superstore or a Golf Mart/WW Golf Shop near you, I’d just go by and see what fits you.  Both of those retailers stock many of the more affordable clothing lines.

Honestly ebay. There are a ton of golf apparel sellers. I've gotten NWT Greyson for $35, Johnnie-O, Anderson Ord, Vineyard Vines, Stitch, etc for like under $40. 

 

Really depends on the brand you won't find PM or Rhoback cheap but so many other option. Just search new with tag.

If you want the least expensive I'd go to your Costco/Sams Club if you have a membership and shop their stuff. The Members Mark Polos are solid. Kirklands offerings are great too. I'd also check out a Burlington/Ross/Marshalls/TJ Maxx if you want to get expensive polos at an affordable price. I always get mine from these stores and have been happy

I did not buy any, but Costco has several different brands of plain/tasteful polo for pretty cheap.  Costco and Sams have more than just Shark stuff anymore (no Shark, actually).

 

If you know your size in the brand, then eBay is good.  Too much trouble if you don't know if it will fit right.

 

If you really want bargain, then Goodwill usually has whole racks of them.  Imagine this will vary from place to place.

 

If you have a golf show near you, sometimes clubs/courses are clearing out their inventory for pretty cheap, but they usually have logos.

Dude, you are spot on with these. Super comfortable and soft material. Comes out of the washer / dryer just as soft as it went in with no wrinkles. I ordered 4 more.

I have bought the Real Essentials polos off Amazon. No difference in quality or fit that I can tell. At $10ea these are a great bargain.

Costco has Kirkland brand solid-colored polos for less than $15.  They are fit well and the logo on the sleeve is subtle.  Like others I have been happy with M Malelreg on Amazon.  I have a few and they seem to hold up well.  The solid colors and striped shirts are pretty standard stuff.  They also have some with shirts with patterns (fireworks, trees, flowers, etc.,).  Personally, I have found I tend to like the more unique patterns offered by some of the more expensive brands over the less expensive ones, so I will splurge when I see something I really like.  YMMV.

Disagree to an extent. 

 

The Ben Hogan golf stuff at Walmart (~$20 for a polo) is far inferior to an Under Armour playoff polo (~$50 on sale). But I agree the higher end stuff (pushing $150+ for a polo) isn't worth the premium.
