As someone with many friends in law enforcement, there’s plenty of idle time to be on your phone. At least where I’m from.

This is what I’ve been thinking from page 1 but wasn’t going to say it. I do think it needed to be said at this point. He’s even had enough time to research how to install PP on his phone.

First and foremost I am a grown a** man and do not need at all do justify or defend my actions, work schedule or personal life to anyone on this forum. That being said a lot of people have a lot to say without knowing my day to day and to me it’s very sad.

I work in a jail Essex county correction facility so first and foremost I do not have my phone on my person while I am working. PayPal is not setup on my phone and is automatically password saved on my laptop at home which is constantly being used by my wife and kids. Seeing that I am active or online on the forum is accurate considering I have it set up to automatically open when the web browser is open or the browser is already open with my family is using the computer.

You all may have time and work schedules that allow you to constantly be on a forum having opinions on a topic and I get it that’s what this forum is for, but as I have said in the past and will always say in my belief I value this community and this forum and everyone on it old and new has a special place in me because we are share the same passion for a game that we love. Weather it be finding a great deal on the bst, talking about the newest equipment, or just talking golf in general we are all here for the purpose that we share a special passion for a game that we all love and enjoy.

You all are quick to judge and have an opinion but as some said on this tread it was a little premature by the buyer to cause this much a a scene, but I am also wrong for not being open and giving good communication that I need a couple days to get some and compete the refund.
I just walked in the door from work today and this was not even remotely close to the first thing on my mind considering we lost a coworker today to suicide. I have been sick to my stomach all day today knowing a wife and 5 children are without their husband and father for the rest of their lives.
Not to make anyone feel any sympathy for me or my job duties but if you have not been in my shoes or know what it’s like to walk the beat so to speak than please have some understanding that it’s not easy on the body or mind to work 16 hour days not see it family for days at a time and when I do have the free time all I want to do is be with my family and golf.

All in all a refund is being sent over asap. You can all finally rest easy tonight knowing that I am not a horrible person and I do have compassion for the buyer.

It’s just how you conducted yourself from the get go. You were given the correct way to approach it. But kept going around it. Then people called you out for being online which means you were probably reading it. But you go back and forth and say you don’t have time. It could have been taken care of in a timely manner. If you had time to log into Golfwrx. You have time to login into PayPal.

I guess you did not read what I fully posted. I do not have paypal information on my phone. My action and the way it was handled are 100 percent my fault and not who I truly am as a person, sleep deprecation and aggravation got the best of me.

No need to get defensive, I’ve just been having fun ribbing both of you. At the end of the day you had time to make a listing, accept payment, ship, reply to buyer, and reply here. That’s multiple opportunities to send refund. Not having PP on your phone in 2025 just doesn’t cut it as an excuse. If you’re going to sell you have to be willing to deal with issues if they arise.

You have however admitted you handled it poorly so props for that.

My condolences for the loss of your coworker. Prayers for their family.

Yes i had that time when i was off. Can’t predict a riot and mayhem at work that mandated us to be there 16 hours a day for 3 days straight

All sounds like fine excuses, but the damning thing is if you said you wanted your insurance claim first. I know you said you didnt say that, and buyer cant figure out screenshots. Either way, in the amount of time you typed all that and tagged everyone, you could have requested paypal login info easily for your phone. Surely you have email on your phone?

I just received an email from paypal that states they reviewed the case and have decided in my favor and will refund the purchase price of the of the shaft.  thanks for all the input, suggestions and technical advise😜 I wish it never came to this but when you say your not paying until you get your insurance I had no choice.

I am sorry for your loss and prayers to the family of the officer

They did not decide in your favor I completed the refund.

wrong choice of words on my part. Was meaning more of like let me file the claim to know what is needed on both parties sides so I can give them whatever is needed such as pictures or any information or maybe they would request the shaft.

thank you

No use hashing this over , it is completed

Yes my email says the same thing, but that is because I logged in and sent the refund back to you. It was initiated by me not PayPal. Just want you to be aware that it was not a case they decided on it was me doing what I said I was going to do in my post 1 hour ago.

I did read it. I read it fully. Unless you have a flip phone. I don’t buy the “I don’t or can’t  have access to PayPal” story. I get you are work mad hours I feel you, I really do. I put in close to 70 hour work weeks. Probably not close to what you put in. And I’m truly sorry to hear about your fallen officer. But best of luck to you. Happy to hear it was resolved.

I don’t know how to do the “tag “ for lunberjack627. But thanks for fixing

I’ve just read page 1 and no one had replied to this.

To “mention” or tag someone you just put @ in front of of their user name

So you are @blastereod

If you can barely handle your work commitments, maybe you shouldn’t be doing extra stuff on your off time, like selling golf stuff on the internet.

I see others in similar fields have already taken you to the woodshed, so I won’t pile on any further.
Finally, I would never ever conduct a transaction the way you have, especially the response from you dripping with condescension which is just icing on the cake to how poorly you have acted. Not to mention I would have sour taste in my mouth if I did a transaction on here that didn’t leave the other party 100% satisfied.

But that’s just me.

Login and passwords are not tied to a device. You can login into PayPal on your phone browser or in the PayPal app. This excuse that you kept using has no basis in fact. It was just another way for you to avoid doing the right thing days ago. You only did something after pressure from people here. Then you gave all these condescending replies.
