3w issue

So Ive had my F9 in the bag since it came out.  Love it.  T or deck.  Uber reliable unless I muck up the swing.

 

All of a sudden it feels dead, heavy, and unresponsive.  Lacks pop.

 

I dont see any cracks or anything.  Im genuinely confused by this.

 

Anyone ever have this happen or am I just really sucking with the 3w right now (which happens time to time but never like this).

Any changes to strike location lately? Impact tape/foot powder spray test. Whenever I make a swing change, the 3W suffers. It takes some time for the positive benefits of the change to "work its way up the bag."

 

If you're still hitting where it should be flush, I had a club die like that one me once. Sounded different at impact with higher, spinny fades. Nothing that went as far as out of bounce, so I just thought my swing was off. Turns out the head epoxy broke, but was still playable for a couple rounds until the head eventually flew off the shaft. Reglued and good as new.

hit it on a launch monitor if you can. perhaps there's a crack in the head or an issue with the face you can't see. if you hit it in the middle and the smash factor stinks I would consider replacing.

Thanks all. Really flustered by this tbh. I'm hitting all my other stuff just fine. No swing changes here. Typically a 70s shooter. I'll check it thoroughly and go from there.

 

And maybe get a Vette too lol

I’ve had something like that happen with another brand, the golfing universe is giving you permission to look at something new and shiny.

Well I filled up a sink of water and sat the club down in.  No floating bubbles but did see 3 or 4 bubbles on the bottom of the face where its glued (presumably) to the body.  The bubbles just sat there, wasnt taking on water or anything. Right on the line between the face and body.  Tried to get picture, but couldnt get it to turn out.

 

Not sure if that makes sense.

 

Hopefully I described it accurately.

Hot water? Hot water will make the air inside the head expand and should make it easier to detect a crack if its bubbling out.

Been playing Epic Max LS Driver. Last two rounds the ball was going no where. Trackman had super high spin and super weird numbers on Smash and ball speed. I am assuming its dead. Cant see a crack (havent tried the water test) but went and bought another Driver head just because I cant get it out of my head that its cracked. Just wish it would have broken when the golf store near us had their big Spring Swap Sale.

Finally got to the range with the elyte titanium set at 14*. Kbs td 70 s shaft. Really efficient and effortless power here.  Shaft is meh to me in feel (subjective) but provides good launch.  I actually liked the performance better with the heavier weight up front. Ball seems to just jump off the face with strong flight.  Probably look at putting a trusted Fuji shaft in here.
