Wedge shaft weight

I bought a solo gap wedge that match my iron set with the thought of next year buying a new SW and LW. 
The dilemma is it is coming in a kbs tour lite which I guess is at 105 grams vs the 130ish the irons are in and the 115 the wedges are in. 
I assume these weights are dependent on length but relative in that sense. Long story short the gap wedge is 25 grams light than the PW and 10 grams lighter than the SW. 

Does any of this matter.

I think it does, i originally had stock shafts in my vokeys and had them changed to DG105 to bring them closer to my iron set. Felt weird otherwise

Whether it matters depends on what feels good to you. 

 

As a 100% feel player, static weight and swing weight are important in wedges.  But equally believe there should be some sort of weight progression throughout the set.  

 

My T200 2i has 95g shaft at D3, T100 3i-9i has 110g 6.0 shafts, at D2 sw.  Vokey SM10 47.11 PW has the 110g shaft, but swing weighted at D3; SM10 52.12 GW has different heavier 128g shaft at D4 and SM9 58.8 LW has same heavier 128g shaft but at D5.

I have a buddy who plays a mixed bag to fit his height... that is, few of his clubs match or came as a set and he simply tries out each club and works with it until he gets the feel for what it does.  He does ok with that.  

 

For myself, I have been experimenting with different one offs in the irons as I develop a consistent swing (broke the 9 iron, and 5 ... sigh, no PW in set).  I don't think I'll stick with my current model, RP Rifle 5.5, roughly (and inconsistently) hard stepped 1 & 1/2 times.  And I am ready for a uniform feel.

 

But now that I have some consistency in the swing, the other fill ins feel out of synch and seem to want to change the swing and timing that I am working on.  Mack Daddy PW w/ S400, even RP Rifle 6.0 don't feel responsive anymore ....  Could just be my swing, but I assume going lighter could cause an adjustment as well.  You could try to add tape to the underside of the shaft, as suggested elsewhere, until you can reshaft (is that too much tape?).  

 

Some players have a precision stroke with the wedges and can go lighter.  I like my wedge shafts to be consistent with the rest of my set ... and by consistent, I mean slightly heavier and continuing the stiffer tip trimming/flex progression.  Usually using the '8 iron spinner trick' through at least GW (since I still take full swings there).
