Bending Srixon ZXi4 6 iron to fit set

In true WRX fashion I am thinking of dropping my ZXi5 6 iron and tossing a ZXi4 6 iron in the bag. However, looking at the specs, the ZXi4 is a 1.5 degrees stronger than the ZXi5, this will definitely cause problems. Is it worth buying the ZXi4 and bending it 1.5-2 degrees to match the ZXi5 or will it cause too many headaches?

Bending it will not be a problem, its just whether or not you would work well with the extra 2* of bounce that is the question.

Thats what a buddy of mine said. I am more of a picker of the ball if that helps any. Seems like a big chance to take. Not like the head is cheap ($150, then into the $$ of bending)

I believe the ZXi4 is to be a higher launching, possibly more spinning head? I certainly play it stock before you start bending. Is the 6i your longest iron in the bag? If so, nothing wrong with having it a hot head!

I have a 5 iron in there but cant hit it worth a darn so i set my hybrid to take the spot of the 5.

Bounce and wider soles are usually not the friends of someone shallow. If you can find one, Srixon made a 26* and 29* of the U85 some years ago, it may be worth seeing if you can get your hands on one.

I had a Srixon ZU85 in 26 in the past and was stupid to give it away. It was a fantastic club, just a Bit to much Offset for my personal feeling.

I think that answers my question then… with the 6i the longest iron in the bag, I wouldn’t worry about bending it. On solid strikes, you’re likely to have a larger gap between your 6i and the 5h. Go play and get the ball in the hole!
