Adjustment Hosel on Titleist Hosel

I think this might've been already discussed but I didn't see the exact answer.

I naturally play a fade with most clubs. I have a feeling of kind of holding off the release a little bit.

My question is, if i want to neutralize my ballflight, should i play a draw setting? As my understanding is, it will make the club slightly more upright. But doesn't that affect more of the face to the left? If it does with a similar path wouldn't it cause me to slice more?

Confused about the settings and kind of scared to experiement without understanding.

It's really best just to try different settings on the range. Some people are and some are not sensitive to hosel adjustments. For some, changing the settings, changes the backswing and delivery in different ways. What works for one will not work the same for another.

I've always found it best to go to the extreme settings in the direction I want to go, then back off the adjustments from there. Changing to an upright lie on the adapter should straighten the flight, not create more fade. But it'll depend on how the change in the adapter affects your physical delivery at the ball. Your mind can play games with you. Your brain may realize the adapter is more upright and fool you into holding off even more to prevent the ball going left. It's weird!! We are not robots.

Just try the settings on the range. It doesn't cost anything to try.

What's the point of an adjustable driver if you never adjust it? Just try them all and you might stumble onto something that "shouldn't work" but does.

I fight a hook so flatter and lofted down (open face) should fit me the best but I always seem to get the best results in A1.

Confusion is understandable - but the fear is not really justified. Just go to the range and get a small bucket of balls and see what happens as you play around with the settings. That's the only way to get an answer. No one here will be able to tell you what will happen.

However, in general the lie angle settings only provide a very minor adjustment for most. So I'd suggest focusing on the face angle (loft) changes to manage shot shape. Just keep in mind that everyone has a different level of sensitivity to the face angle changes (from changing "loft"). Some people might not see any change to the left/right ball flight but for others it may make a noticeable change. You just never know.

Many prefer the approach of adjust it once during the fitting when it was purchased (assuming the fitting was any good) - and leave it alone after that.
