Mizuno MP20 really light swing weight

Picked up a set of second hand MP-20 blades with C Taper 130x shafts. Love the shafts but the head of the clubs are so light compared to the set of Callaway Apex MB 18s I currently game. 
 

Callaways are standard length and lie, the Mizunos seem to be 1/4 inch longer and 2 degrees upright if that makes a difference. 
 

Both have the same grips. 
 

I needed to put 3 lead tape strips at 2 grams each on a club to get the same feel. 
 

Pity as they are lovely clubs in unbelievable condition, would like to fix them if anyone can say how.

Sounds like you have "B-weight" heads which Mizuno used for longer builds.

B weight heads when it’s only 1/4 longer than standard is pretty stupid is it not?

They were probably reshafted at some point and originally built longer.

^^^ depends on what is "standard" length as Mizuno did a 1/4" "standard length" increase several years back, so what now is 1/4" longer than current Mizuno standard, was a 1/2" longer back then.  And as mentioned above, they may have been re-shafted, or merely butt-trimmed by someone over the years.

I’ve noticed C-Tapers always swing weight on the “lighter” side.

Take them apart and tip weight them… you can make sure everything is correct and built to how you want it. 
 

I played mp20mmc’s for years with 6.5 rifles in them.

As above, probably lighter heads, combined with C-Taper shafts which are slightly counter balanced making them feel light.

 

Get some lead tape on them... They'll be beauts.
