At this point Hideki is just gaming the system to get as many cool putters as possible, exactly like any of us would do if in his position.

I believe it was Greg that said a while back that often these putter manufacturers will make these guys a putter to try that they didn’t ask for. Not sure if that is the case here. But I think a lot of us (I was included) think the players are requesting these putters. Is that accurate @pga43?

Most are a hope and prayer type deal.  Make one and give it to the player or his coach and then hope.

I think it's a mix, some of makers know what the players like and will happily build putters on spec, others will get the call.

 

The third turn off the lights and hide behind the sofa when their Ring doorbell alerts them to an Hidecki sized shape approaching.

He already has a GSS triple dot and has won eight times on the PGA Tour. He always returns to that putter, but this time the wandering has been a bit longer.
