Do I need to update my Ventus Velecore shaft?

I've had a Ventus Velecore Blue 6x for about 5 years now. It started in a Cobra LTDx LS and it's now in my Ping G430 LST. Is the original Ventus getting a little long in the tooth or can a shaft get "tired" over time? Was wondering if I should do some shaft shopping, looks at the Ventus tr, etc.

I don't believe "long in the tooth" applies to shafts made using contemporary materials, especially Fujikura Ventus line. It should be about whether the shaft still fits you. If it does, I see no need for change. Then again, if Golfwrx hoing has a grip, then nothing I can say will stop you. LOL

No, you can keep it if it's still working out for you. However, there's nothing wrong with wanting to try other shafts. I'd recommend the Velo+ blue. It's a huge upgrade over the OG in terms of feel, IMO. I've also found it to be more stable as well.

Not a good crew to ask here for unbiased opinions since most people here are compulsive golf equipment buyers. However, I can tell you I would give the new Ventus Velocore+ stuff a try because it's just spectacularly good in terms of dispersion for me with the driver.

+2 on ^. But surely keep the original shaft just in case.

Ok, so sounds like I need to do some testing of other shafts like a true WRX member! Seems like a lot of mentions for the Velecore+. Any reason why not the TR?

Velo+ line is smoother than OG and TR line. TR line is great if you prefer more linear versions of the OG as they are stiffer overall than OG counterparts.
