I never understood the value Tirico brings to a golf broadcast. He doesn't sit in the 18th tower with Kiz or Hicks and I don't think he calls any of the golf either. CBS never does any of those dumb segments and shows way more golf then NBC every does. I'm already dreading how badly NBC is gonna butcher The Open and Ryder Cup.

There is so much 'made man' top heavy dead weight in these networks... On 92 this evening, Katrek and McGuinness trotted out Mike Greenberg (!) for a segment on some health issue (?).. That guy was aggravating 20 years ago and somehow he's still at it.

I have no problem with NBC Sports outside of the way they cover golf. SNF is the gold standard and I thought they did a pretty good job with the Olympics. Everything was on Peacock and easily consumable. Tirico is fine on SNF but he should be nowhere near a golf broadcast. I just compare NBC to CBS and notice a gap that's getting bigger. The best way to describe it is: Trevor > Kiz, Nantz > Hicks (I know Nantz can get syrupy at times but I'll take him any day over Hicks). The only people at NBC that I think are actually good at their job are Bones and John Wood.

i miss Johnny Miller ... that says a lot about where NBC golf coverage is at right now.

NBC used to be the gold standard in golf. I remember them showing that 2008 US Open broadcast during the delay last sunday and it was a day/night difference compared to 2025 nbc. For starters their camera work is atrocious. Multiple instances at the US Open on Sunday where they struggled to follow tee shots.  I think their broadcast crew is fine (just like CBS's better and Johnny was in a league of his own) and is the least of their problems.  First of all get Tirico off all golf broadcasts, not additive whatsoever. 2nd figure out how to balance the commercial load better. CBS does a great job of that. Finally learn how to use a camera

However, he was never POTUS as he was quite older than most of the founding fathers. By the 1st election, Franklin was already dying.
