That’s most likely it. He gonna drive it how he drives it with either driver.
But no doubt the model you won the Masters w/is gonna be more comfortable than the model you shot “100 over” w/in Canada. Mostly placebo at this point. But w/where he’s at currently, who wouldn’t do the same?

HIs US Open press conference responses to the repeated 35 questions were painful.  He knew he couldn't say anything bad due to his contractual obligations and just kept getting more uncomfortable.

Rory has never been a killer. He is crazy good but just not a killer. No matter when I am always waiting for him to implode.

My hope is that playing the Open back where he grew up will reignite the flame for him. If not, then maybe the ryder cup.
 

But yeah, I'm not sure we'll ever see the same Rory who grinded harder than anyone else for the last 15 years, ever again

💯 they care. TM is the king of golf equipment marketing. Every time they ask about him not using the 35 there is probably an audible sigh happening somewhere

I read somewhere (can't remember exactly where) while the Qi35 is absolutely more forgiving than the Qi10 across the entire face, the center of gravity on the Qi35 is different (lower i believe) to help us schleps. Pros are so consistent with their strikes that the change in CG is throwing spin/flight/feel off, thus the use of the Qi10 and not the Qi35 for those with pro level striking ability. Who knows, but it does make some sense if true.

Absolutely crazy to me that if true, they can’t replicate that CG in a 35 variant. Gawd knows that have tried.

The Dot head is supposed to have the higher CG with an LS shape. The change of the looks from shiny black top to the matte carbon finish, I think is an issue. Dramatic change in look.(Mental)

Maybe they ran out of dot heads for him and did a custom hot melt job on a regular core head. If you look at the heel area where the screw goes in there's some bronze paint or something there. Maybe that's covering a hole they made to put hot melt in?

He's been swapping back and forth like crazy lately.  Started the year off with the Qi10, then switched to the Qi35 rather quickly, then went to back to the Qi10.  Someone reported that he switched back to the Qi35 last week and now he's back in the Qi10 again for the US Open.  I think all his wins this year was with the Qi10.

And I can see why.  Driver and fairways were on the draw biased side when I tested them earlier this year.

Each time he switches his driver he also switches his 3 metal too.  He must like a uniform look with those two sticks.
