Bethpage Black - Weekday Foursome

Hi all,

Have read through the forums and reddit but still a bit confused on how things are for this year, and in particular trying to get a foursome together.

Looking to take a random Tues or Wed in July and try to play Bethpage Black, we would be driving quite a bit from CT so want to make sure I'm prepared.

Is it possible to get a tee time for a foursome if we show up in the morning, and what time do you think we'd need? In other posts it sounds like it's fine if you're a single but may not be able to get a foursome together. We wouldn't mind waiting and playing a bit later on Black and maybe do another course or 9 in the morning before, but don't want to make the trek and miss out.

Any help is much appreciated.

I would just check as to when they are going to a 100% walk up policy before the Ryder Cup. Right now ur only option is to camp out I believe. But I do know they are shutting it down in either July or August as well.

You may have a better chance this year than others for a non NYS walk up foursome based on the below.

From the Bethpage email:

The Black Course will be all walk ups from July 7, 2025, through August 17, 2025

From July 7th through August 17th, the first time is 8am and the last tee time on Black is 12:30 weekdays and on the weekends will be 1:20 PM

Closing for the Ryder Cup 8/18.

My suggestion would be to go the day before and get on the car line late afternoon early evening. The only way to make sure that you play IMO.

If you want to play before July I'd suggest the same. The line works but you have commit. Good luck.

Thanks for the info, didn't realize they're going only walk up soon, and also that there's basically no afternoon tee times. Sounds like it's going to be extremely difficult to get a 4some together.

Might have to go just alone at some point and hope to get on as a single.

Hey, thanks for letting me know, I'm traveling tomorrow or else I'd 100% be in. Any tips for how you got the tee time?

Has anyone been to BP black over the past week since they moved to 100% walkups? Just curious if going there in the morning of a weekday for a single is worth trying or not.

I was leaving the Bethpage premises on Saturday around 4:45pm as we just finished a round on red. The parkinglot had a solid 15-20 cars lined up already for Sunday.

Had a friend that went last week. One person in their party arrived in the parking lot at 12:30PM the day prior and was 3rd in line
