Best Golf Prank You Saw or Did.

When I was selling custom printed tee shirts and such, a Harley biker shop had me print a batch of G-stings with their logo on them. I kept one and put it in my golf bag. When the 4some was appropriate and my mark was on the tee , I'd ask the mark if I could go into his bag for a tee. With the G-string secretly palmed, I'd reach into the bag pocket, pull out the G-string and say "HoHo what is this?" while holding up the G-string. Hilarity usually ensued.

A week or two out from our annual golf trip I mailed cards to all the guys that said Get better Soon, signed Your Golf Game.

One of the guys in our group had his wife call another guy in the foursome (gullible) and told him his car insurance was canceled. It was a Saturday morning right before teeing off. She said, "don't drive your cars until further notice." He was freaking out. He was like, "how am I supposed to get home?" She said, " can you call a friend?" It went on for 5-6 minutes.

One of the guys in our group shows up with exploding powder golf balls he had recently bought. I think anyone can tell that the ball is fake.

We have one guy in our group that has poor vision but he claims his eyesight is 20 20. I suggested we prank the poor vision person because we thought anyone else could tell it wasn't their ball they were gaming.

We let him tee up his ball and at that moment I called him over to me while one of the other guys swapped balls.

It was hilarious. He swings, the ball explodes into powder and he looks at the face of his driver and says what just happened? Did anyone see where my ball went? He had no clue what had happened.

Had this prank pulled on me. I was playing at a country club where my brother and my friend were members.

I was 2 under through 8. The 9th was a shortish par 5 going back up the hill. To the right of the hole near the green was the outdoor dining and pool. I hit my drive into the right rough. Hit hybrid for my second shot but lost it in the sun and could not find it near the green. Took a “drop” and made 7. Hit a nice drive on 10 and as I was addressing my second shot, my friend is on the phone. Apparently, a kid was hit by a golf ball on the head while swimming and the clubhouse called him since his group was the logical culprit. Paramedic were onsite. Blood was all over the pool.

I wanted to go back to the clubhouse to check on the kid. My friends told me that clubhouse told him to address this at the end of the round. I proceed to make double from the fairway, double on the next hole and hook my drive after that. I was clearly rattled. As I’m walking towards my ball on the 13th hole, I see all of my friends with a wry smile. It was all made up. No kid had been hurt. No ball in the pool. Got me good.

Regrouped to par in for a respectable 76.

This one takes some coordination. My neighbor Bob and three pals went to Pa. near Hawk mountain for a couple days of golf. On the ride there, my neighbor told the group to be aware of hawks that like to swoop down on the golfers without warning. After setting up the gag with the other 2 players, on one of the greens when the mark was getting ready to putt, Bob positioned himself behind the putter and swooshed the hole flag over his head while the other 2 looked up to the sky with fear in their faces. The guy putting dropped prone on the turf and covered his head. All had a good laugh.

Tough crowd. Lot of serious only players at the 19th hole?

My wife was in a woman's league that consisted of 4-6 4somes made up of women who worked for the school district where she taught. They played at a short, wooded 9 holer with a par 3 that you had to walk up 50' to the tee with the elevated green across the gully. The tee box was so small that there was only room for 1 foresome so the following group would wait at the bottom. One week, an administrator brought a male phys ed teacher as her sub. My wife and her group were on that par 3 tee with the Admin and gym teacher in the group waiting to go next. After taking their shots, my wife's group headed down through the wooded path. But not before the most amply endowed member in the group took off her shirt and descended wearing only her bra. They said "hi"and "bye" to the group waiting and proceeded to the green. Guy never came back.

So many serious players here I guess.

Don't try this at home. My brother belongs to a CC and upon checking in to play with his regular 4some he was told by the pro that a famous Hollywood star was would be on the course playing and to let the man have his privacy. During brothers round, he noticed the star on a green across a small pond from him he shouted over "Heads up guys. (Insert your favorite male star name here) is playing here today so give him some space and behave yourselves." Bro got called in for a conversation with the club manager after his round.
