Best “core” low spin driver head

Looking on the opinion of the community of the best driver head that’s low spin but that would be the core head in the lineup. Not the low spin option.

Just get a G440 LST. As forgiving as most core options and low spin.

TSR3 or Wilson Carbon are on lower spin side.  Draw bias.

 

Srixon and Mizuno a touch spinny.  Fade bias.

Wilson Carbon and Ping 10k have been pretty low spin for me.

Ping 10K and the Max K Cobra. The Cobra gets rave reviews and the Ping  has been reduced in price is a plus.

Is there more to this question than originally stated? LS only has meaning in relation to the other models in that lineup. It may not even spin more/less than prior gen heads within the same OEM. What about LS models don't you like specifically?

Qi35 with heavy weights forward is very low spin for me.  It is much lower spin for me than the Qi10 was.

I guess maybe they usually look more compact so plays a game with my head forgiveness wise. 
I know they are marketed for the better player but I really never gave one a go to see if it fit me.

Hmm..best is going to be HUGELY relative. 

 

Qi10 with heavy weight forward will be low spin and fairly forgiving.

 

Elyte is very low spin and very forgiving. I would consider it the best.

 

Cobra is right there because you can move the heavy weight forward AND that hosel really lets you dial things in.

Compared to other models within the line up, they certainly are going to be less forgiving. In an absolute sense, all modern drivers are extremely forgiving.

TBH as good of a reason as any to ignore marketing.

 

I no longer view LS model heads from a spin perspective. Spin is important, but not the only variable and also cannot be viewed in a vacuum. I don't always see significant, or sometimes any lower spin from an LS model head. Here's why:

• moving the CG forward makes the club more fade bias. For my swing, a more open/less closed face at impact results in higher spin rates. 
• When both heads are fitted correctly, I see similar launch/spin. The variation comes down to how I'm swinging. I usually play LS heads about 1 degree higher than core heads. Depending on the model, it could be 0.5 to 1.5 degrees
• It's only at the extremes of delivery/speed where an LS head would be the only option. If you have so much dynamic loft at impact that a core model head can't fix the problem, a lot of people have to switch to an LS lofted all the way down to get what they need.

So my average dynamic loft is 13 degrees

Cobra DS-Adapt Max K would be my top choice for a non LS model followed by QI35 Core. The DS-A LS and QI35 LS are both very forgiving for LS models and are worth considering, as is the Ping G440 LST.  I chose the 10.5° DS-Adapt LS (can loft up or down as much as 2° without changing lie angle), and it is not as aggressively low spin as the 9° DS-A LS with the power bridge. It is a bomber and very forgiving, even more than many non-LS models.

I have both Cobra DS-Adapt LS and Max K 10.5 and I had a 9 degree Qi 35 for a couple months and I played 9 degree Paradym DDD for couple years.

 

The Max K are really low spin for a forgiving driver, I went to the store and tried a 9 Degree Max K and it is too low spin for me.

I have been loving my 10.5° DS-A LS. Have you tried both the DS-A Max K and LS with the same shaft? And if so, what differences have you noticed between the two?

I've been using the Cobra DS Max K and it is lower spin than my AI Smoke TD Max which is impressive considering it is also much more forgiving for me. So far it truly feels like a bit of a unicorn driver head.

LS has a hotter flight, 1 or 2 mile more ball speed and lower spin.  Depends on the what shaft I put in the head, LS is too low spin for me at A1 setting if I am using the a more flexible shaft to turn the ball over more.  Max K for sure is more forgiving.

 

The only reason I consider LS is because it has movable weight and I can put the heavier weight at toe to slow the rotation down a bit.
