SParms sun sleeves

Does anyone have any experience with these? Do they do a good job of staying up on your arms? I know they offer a version that is kind of like a shirt without a front(if that makes sense. Is that one necessary or do the regular sleeves stay up well enough?

I use them, and like them. They stay up well. Light weight. Do what they’re supposed to do. I have had cheaper sleeves, but they seem to lose their elasticity, and fall down. I’m 5’8, but have fairly long arms, and wear medium.

I have no experience with their sleeves, but the shawls are fantastic and very comfortable. Their shawls are just sleeves that are connected with a 6" - 8" swath of fabric that goes over your shoulders and across your upper back behind the neck.

Can't speak to that specific brand but I bought some cheap ones for my trip to Scottsdale . Wore them for the afternoon rounds and had no issues with slipping. I had another pair with the little silicon nubs on the upper arm but even the cheap ones didn't slip.

I went with sleeves instead of the shawl.

 

Zero issues slipping (and I’m normal-skinny build -  6’3” - 190 lbs). Definitely recommend. Plus you can take them off when you go inside for post round “beverage.”

Just as a side.  These cooling sleeves are getting very popular. Lots of guys wear them at our course in central Florida.  I've been wearing cooling sun sleeves for a few years both golfing and cycling.  Recently I've moved to golf shirts and cycling jerseys of the same fabric.  Long sleeve cooling golf shirts are fantastic.  I really like the ones with the stand up collar to protect my neck.

 

The shirts are a little more comfortable then the arm sleeves. Obviously they never side down your arm and they are actually loose fitting. Which is really nice.

I wear the shoulder wrap Sparms.  I like them better than the sleeves because I never have to adjust.  
 

I wear them every time I play; this has pretty much eliminated spots on my arms that the dermatologist has to treat.  
 

One other note; sleeves really help in keeping your hands dry in the worst of summer, simply be keeping sweat from running down your arms.

I love Sparms.  Just ordered another pair. Needed a smaller size.  I have probably like 6 pairs of the XL but they kinda start to slide down but because they don’t fit. The L I just ordered are perfect.

They are pricey, for sure.  But they work great, and they last.  The shoulder wrap is worth the extra money to not have to fool with the sleeves while you play.

I have used them for a few years now and love them. Bought one of the shoulder strap versions and have never used it yet as the sleeves stay on in all types of weather.

I bought some less expensive ones on the Zon about two weeks ago. Armoray brand = 4pr - $20. Worn them three times & I'm a believer.

I’ve been wearing them for a few years and have tried a ton of them, I have some Nike’s that are pretty good but I hate the silicone ring at the top so I just fold it down and they never slide. I have quite a few cheaper pairs that i bought from Bezos: “Tough Outdoors” sun protection sleeves are great, and the “Sports Trail” cooling arm sleeves are fine too. They all last reasonably well and are cheap enough to replace if they look rough. I never have an issue with any of them sliding down my arms, once you start sweating they aren’t going anywhere. I dont wear a glove so they also do a great job helping to keep my hands dry.

I'll have to check when I get a chance.. Inexpensive from Amazon.  Figured I'd try some before I spend more money.  They really are nice in the heat and humidity.  The sleeves are loose, not like an arm sleeve, so they are a lot more comfortable.

I have SParms and I like how thin and cool they are, but the tradeoff for me is that they need adjustment every once in a while. 

 

I have had good luck with the Walter Hagen ones from GG. 

 

The best I have had are Pearl Izumi (I think it is a biking brand) -- they are very high quality.  They are thicker than SParms and not as cool but man are they good.

They do not shed rain.  But they are very lightweight, so they don’t absorb lots of water either.  I never worry about wearing them in the rain with a short sleeve rain jacket and rain gloves.

I just recently started wearing Sparms sleeves and really enjoy them here in Florida. It took a little getting used to for the first hour or so after have never worn a sun sleeve for golf in my 30+ years of playing, but I like them.

 

I like to wet them at the water coolers from time to time as well.

 

Also, I would recommend white. I even tried the light grey and those felt warmer than the pure white ones.

Don't sleep on the Walter Hagen sleeves from Dick's Sporting Goods. I bought a pair while I was delivering for Amazon. I also use them for sunny days on the course. They hold up well and I have zero issues with slippage. It gets up to 115* here and I sweat like a working girl in church. I put them on and forget they're there. No need for any type of adjustments; even lifting heavy parcels.
