Anybody have a good / bad experience with TrueSpec / Fairway Jockey?

I got fit at truespec last year and sent in my wedges to Fairway Jockey afterwards to sorta match the prescription with ascending swingweights and descending lengths. They took forever to build the clubs and everything came back wrong. I reached out to them mutliple times following the order being delivered and nobody ever responded. I just kinda gave up... this was back in August 24... Below was my request / what I received. 

 

Requested - 50* GW @ 36", D4 SW UST Dart V 120F5, 1.5* Up

Received - 50* GW @ 36", D7 SW, UST Dart V 120F4

 

Requested - 56* SW @ 35.75", D5 SW, UST Dart V 120F5, - 2* Loft, 1.5* Up

Received - 56* SW @ 35.75", D9.3 SW, UST Dart V 120F4

 

Requested - 60* SW @ 35.5", D6 SW, UST Dart V 120F5, -2* Loft, 1.5* Up

Received - 60* LW @ 35.5", D8.5 SW, UST Dart V 120F4

 

Initially I was mad about the shaft being wrong. I got over it and figured eh, lotta guys play softer wedge shafts. Ever since putting them in the bag, they're arguably my worst clubs and short game was always a strength of mine... i enjoy hitting little spinners and flops. With these i just can't do it. It wasn't until this week i decided to get them swing weighted and it made me mad all over again because we're 3 - 5 pt's off my requested SW's... it's not even that hard of a build. 

Second to that, i had my irons SW'd at PGATSS to check and see if they even got those right and those are ringing in at D2... Can these guys do anything right? Between these 2 builds TrueSpec got about $2500.00 of my money and delivered absolutely nothing that was promised. 

I'm tempted to find their CEO on linkedin or something and go moan about it in his DM's.

Had a great experience with a TS fitter and build.   On the Truspec order I would go right back to the fitter if it wasn't right.  Deal with the guy who put the order in for you.   For the FJ stuff - despite them being owned by TS, there seems to be a lot of negative reviews, probably not worth going that route to save a few dollars. 

 

The fitter I used had me bring the irons back in once I got them so he could verify swingweights, lofts/lie/length etc.  He wanted to make sure every single thing he ordered was good to go, and it was.  We did a bit more tweaking after, but the tweaking was separate from the initial build and more to just dial in yardages/spin.   This stuff isn't' cheap, I would really demand they get it right for you.

Nice - good advice. I shot a text over to my fitter. He did suggest i put some time on his calendar for a gap check, which i never did. I assumed after spending 2k on a set of irons, that stuff would be verified prior to it being shipped. I've since learned that is a laughable dream.

Fully agree that with the money we spend, we should be able to trust things are done right, but at this point, unless I do the work myself, I don't trust it until I verify it.

I understand the frustration and I would be too but with your specs it’s going to be hard get to that requested swingweight with the components you have. At +.5 and with the vokey heads being on the heavy side it will be tough. The UST dart shaft in the 120 also is a bit tip heavy.

Ordered a few putters from Fairway Jockey, length was way off and they didn't listen to my request to leave the grip loose in the box. I had to cut off the grips, trim the shafts and regrip. Sadly, feels like this is normal quality control these days.
