When I see this chart, I wish there was a shaft profile that MCA has right between 1K Pro White and 1K Pro Blue.

I can’t imagine anyone liking the feel of core black.

 

1k black performed well but probably feels the worst of all the low low stuff, including the new t1100

I hear ya about the less than pleasant feel of 1K Black, but strangely enough I only experience that with the X flex and below. The 65 and 75 TX somehow feel better enough that I have them in play far more often than not.

Does that make any sense at all? Absolutely not, but there it is.

I've been snooping myself and noticed this over the weekend too. Thought it was maybe just the 1K Black and how it compares to the 1K Pro line, but that doesn't seem to be the case if it's got the "1K Pro" naming. I have a 1K Pro Orange 60X on the way right now for some more "stable" tinkering.

The Kai'li White would essentially sit in between those two

I liked tensei black 75TX much more than Ventus tr black 7X

I'm not sure if it makes sense either. I feel like the TX in the "made for" Mitsubishi shafts get a lot more love in the manufacturing process. Still not sure what that 1K feel is, per their site, especially in the Black profile.  

 

The 1K black keeps finding its way into my bag in the driver and fairway.

I’m in the process of testing the tr7x.  I had the 75tx and it felt ok and performed well, but the demo tr 7x I had last week felt a better to to me.

I actually don't mind the feel of the 1k black 65x. Feels better than OG ventus black and better to swing. Different strokes for different folks.

It does feel like the 1k core is looking to pick a fight to the velocore 

 

I’ve been in the TPO1K since release, dabbled with other shafts, but I always go back to it. I like mid-stiff profiles, so definitely looking forward to trying this.

I didn’t care for 1k Black either.  I was fit to it but didn’t purchase due to the feel.  Going to a fitting next week and requesting to hit some other shafts.

1k Black is Aldila's Tour Green rebadged after the merger.

This is a different profile; looks more akin to something like LA Golf Trono.

This seems to me to be the premium material 'Pro' (now Core?) line of the existing 1k Black model. The weights are labeled as X0 vs X5 consistent with Pro/non-Pro, and the Core measured weights are lighter than non-Pro/Core. I've played the 65 1K Black and 1K Pro Orange, and the EI profile for 1K Core Black they are showing is pretty much exactly how I felt the existing 1K Black to be. Similar to TPO but softer, more hingy handle. At least that's my guess. 

 

MCA is taking all my money. I just got a BB 53X delivered a couple days ago and will very likely order the 50X of this.

I’d say the EI profiles are similar. The Pro Core looks like a bit softer handle with a more distinct hinge. The swing speed recommendations are interesting. The Pro Core must play softer given a S flex has a recommended CHS/distance of 81-90 mph/210-239 yards. Pro White, Pro Orange and Blue are 91-105 for S flex. Pro Red the recommendation has more overlap on CHS.

Grabbed a spot at my clubs Titleist fitting day today. I’m just very “meh” on the 1k shafts Black and Blue.  The fitter found things to hit the gaps I needed but really just don’t dig the feel.  I’m a Ventus driver guy and Ping Tour Black in 3W. 

 

Just seems ordering with the Titleist 1K’s will be like when my wife wants Domino’s pizza, it might be good once but most likely I’ll wish I had gotten something else.
