Any feedback on CHAMPKEY golf grips?

CHAMPKEY offers golf grips in 13-packs. Can get just grips, or grips + install kit.

 

Has anyone used them?

I’ve been using them on most of my clubs for a good six months now and I am totally happy with them. I have the MCC style and they’re not quite as grippy as the Golf Pride version but I’ve never had any slipping or anything. They seem to be plenty durable and high quality and they look good. I did put the logos facing down though haha.

They’re knockoff MCCs. I had them on a club before. They’re fine, but not as nice. Up to you if the cost savings is worth it or not! For me, personally, I’d get the MCCs, but everyone knows their budget and if the savings are important. Thankfully I like Tour Velvets, so the cost savings comes baked in 😅

I love me some champkeys. Been playing them for a few years now. 
 

I play oversize corded hybrids which come in around 78-79 grams. 
 

I’ve weight sorted the regular rubbers and hybrids in midsize and oversize. The weights are all within gram or two with the occasional grip or two that is another 1 gram off. Good. 
 

I find them VERY durable. The grips on my irons have been on for a few years. I play once a week with the rare extra game or two. That being said I don’t wear out grips or gloves quickly. 
 

The reason I’ve had a few sets to weight sort to check consistency is from regripping clubs for the wife or friends. 
 

I don’t hit the range much but every now and then I play nine or hit the range in the evening. Maybe once or twice a month.

These would be for a friend of mine who is just getting back into golf. He got a set of Tommy Armour 845 Titanium irons (circa 1998). Grooves are in great shape but grips are standard... he has big hands and needs jumbo grips.

 

CHAMPKEY had jumbo grips available in the 13-packs, and the price is more in line with his budget.

Big fan of the GoWolf brand, midsize plus 4s. Have them on three bags of clubs now. Yes, MCC knockoffs, but they work just fine IMO.

They don't last if you play allot. I had the paint fill separate from the grip after a few rounds, and the clubs I frequently use Driver and wedges the rubber starts hardening up from hand oils rather quickly, even with regular cleaning. I now switched to golf pride CP2 grips like the reduced taper and so gar are lasting for amount I play...

Geoleap brand on Amazon are solid. 
Not as much cord as some of the other knockoffs, which isn’t a bad thing in my opinion. 
They run a little bigger, so standard os closer to midsize. Midsize closer to Jumbo.

Ive had them. Worth the money. They arent as good or premium feeling but they get the job done. I dont think you quite get the same life out of them, but at 1/4 price, its well worth it if you are on a budget.

I actually just regripped a set of Tommy 845 Titanium's with midsize Champkey X's. Great grips, can't go wrong for the price...  do it.

 

Also, those irons are sneaky good... compact, yet very forgiving, the sole shape is way ahead of its time (almost Srixon-like v-sole complete with some leading edge relief), and the grooves will never, ever wear out.  The face is made of, well, Titanium.

I've been using Karma Velour Black Midsize (+1/32'') Golf Grips (13 Pack) for $27.

 

The midsize is not really midsize, they are just 55 grams.  Pure rubber.  The rubber looses tackiness faster than a Golf Pride, but a few swipes with a scotchbrite pad with dish soap, and they are good as new.

+1. These are probably the best cheap Crossline alternative now that those are no more.

I thought they were rough on my hands and uncomfortable.  I much prefer the Grip1 house brand grips from Golfworks.  You can often get them in a buy 9/get 4 free deal, so similar prices to grips on Amazon.
