Srixons Z-star line has slowly started soaking up tour wins. A well balanced tour ball with multiple trim lines to suit everyone. Excellent price points bolster a top performing ball.

Wilson Staff Model X gets my vote. Excellent ball speed off driver, high spin off short irons and wedges. Most durable cover I’ve found in a tour-level ball. Can periodically be found at a deep discount to similar “big brand” offerings.

I switched from the Pro V1X to Pro V1 this year and it has been perfect. Straighter and longer, with great feel around the greens. The TP5X is a close second.

So many great tour balls for 2025.  However, Chrome Tour TD takes the cake, IMO.  High ball speeds, low spin with driver but enough spin with irons and good green side spin.  Feels nice and firm but not like a rock.  No compromises at all when it comes to performance whatsoever, IMO, however, the one glaring negative is lack of durability.  You can kiss your ball good bye after a round even from normal wear and tear as the cover seems to be on the fragile side.

Why leave a tour winning ball off the list with Maxfli? Don't think anyone is winning anything with a Volvik Condor...

I've been a dedicated ProV player for over 10 years. I have switched back and forth between the V1 and V1X--Just like they have switched!  But having played the V1 for the past two models, I can honestly say the 2025 model is the first time I have noticed an appreciable difference in distance.  By all accounts in my LM and GPS measuring the 2025 V1 is at least 5 to 7 yards longer off the tee, without sacrificing any of the short game performance that made it my preferred ball to begin with.

There are 62 golf balls listed on the ballot for "Best Tour Ball."

• Only 29 of them (less than half) could even be considered "Tour quality"
• Volvik has 12 balls (19.35% of the entire list) listed.
  • None of their balls are played on Tour
  • The Condor line (2 balls) are their only "Tour quality" offerings.
• Just because it says "Titleist" doesn't make it Tour quality.
  • Looking at you, TrueFeel, Tour Soft, and Velocity. 
  • The Titleist Velocity is an overpriced Callaway Warbird.
  • Speaking of - Callaway Warbird is on this list.
  • The Tour Soft is the Callaway Supersoft with a different name and a bigger price tag.
  • Neither the Titleist Tour Soft nor the Callaway Supersoft belong on this list.
  • Nor does the Callaway Warbird, literally the Callaway version of the Top Flite Hammer.
    • Speaking of Hammers, why isn't the new and improved Hammer driver on the driver list for voting?
    • BOOM! - IYKYK
• Without stepping too deep into the DTC pool...
  • Maxfli Tour are not listed - Tour quality golf balls that are literally played on Tour.
    • Maxfli Tour has 2 wins on the PGA Tour this year.
    • It was in play at 3 of the 4 majors, the Player's Championship, possibly the Tour Championship, and probably the Ryder Cup.
  • Although it's not currently played on Tour, Vice makes Tour quality golf balls in their Pro line.
• I think it's important to reiterate that this ballot for "Best Tour Ball" includes the Callaway Warbird - this atrocity cannot be amplified enough.

Not that my vote matters in the grand scheme of things, but based on the invalidity of this list, I'm abstaining.

Tried and true, the Pro V1 is an all around performer. Offering a bit more spin in the mid irons from the previous model year, it’s easily flightable and versatile performance in wedges keep it as the number 1 ball in golf.

Fix the list to add Maxfli Tour Balls. This omission and that of Sub70 woods, irons, and wedges, also played on tour (without pay to play) keeps this from being a fair vote of the best equipment.
