OG Grafalloy Blue

Yes, I am. I love the one-piece feel. It's the perfect sensation for my aggressive swing/transition.

I am.

I still have about half a dozen new ones and a couple of pulls stashed away, too, for future use. It's quite simply the greatest driver shaft ever made in my humble opinion.

Compare of the OG BLUE on flex and wgt.
75 X is about "half a flex"  stronger than 65X, so the 75 X is really X+ or up against TX (relative).

I've got a couple of bore through Titleist drivers (a 905S and a 975D) both shafted up with the S flex 65gram version, and they both feel stout in those clubs. Comparable to the X flexes I've got in other clubs and my old gamer Nike.

I've hit the 75, but I'm not a fan. Mainly because of the weight. I prefer the light, 'stick of Blackpool rock' feel of the lighter model, which is consequently the one I've always gone for.

Oddly, I hate the Blue in fairway woods. I'd love to do a Stenson, and put one in an old Nike 3 wood and just play it until the figurative wheels fall off, but it just doesn't work for me in anything other than the driver. The 757 in my 3 wood's been in there for about 20 years, though; so I'm sort of doing it, just with another classic shaft.

You are well beyond your years in wisdom for having a stockpile of these.  I can't tell you how many hours I have spent watching ebay and dreaming of getting my hands on one of these.  One of the best ever!

The tip section of the OG BLUE was designed for bore trough heads, and standard tip trim suggestion when installed in a blind/standard bore is 1.25. I suggest tip trim equal to BBGM to equalize this.

When we move to woods, BBGM drops, often down against 0.75", and again, since this shaft was designed for bore trough heads, i suggest a initial tip trim equal to BBGM, then another 0.5" for 3W, 1.0 for 5W etc...

Dont forget, whats down in the hosel, dont flex, and the more we put down there, the stiffer the shaft will play, so a BBGM og 0.75" in woods, will be close to SS1.5 if we dont start with a initial tip trim equal to BBGM. For a driver with a BBGM of 1.50, we need a initial tip trim equal to a 7W, before install as a driver.
If not we play that shaft soft stepped 3x.

Depending on what feels off, this might shed some light on why, depending on how you tipped those shafts before install.

Having that said, the most common is that the driver shaft and wood shafts is "slightly different models", close but not identical. Im using Grafalloy ProLaunch AXIS RED as driver shaft, im using Grafalloy TOUR as 5W shaft, and Project X Tour Issue (Blue) 7W shaft. They are all withing small differences to each other, but "Just right" for the actual club.

Another thing about these shafts that gives way to my preferred feel is the low torque. Even lighter flex steel feels better to me, because of the torque. Once torque creeps up over 3-3.5, that stable feel I like goes away.

I may be the same. Another shaft I really liked and which I saw good results with in a driver back in the day was the old Harrison Pro 1.8. Similar feel to the Blue, with its low torque and lightweight boardiness.
