"All natural ... real and spectacular" (in response to Ali's question to Grant Boone about his "magic 8-ball"/ predictive ability w.r.t. predicting Ayaka Furue almost holing a 40+ foot birdie putt on 12th hole, to take a share of the lead)

 

... "A birdie chance in name only ... unless your name is Ayaka Furue" (effort ends up hitting the pin & ends up a foot away)

Quite the start. The players at even par or worse need to get it in gear tomorrow. We might see more than a few previous major winners missing the cut.

Contrary to Jeeno, Jennifer Kupcho doesn't have many Top-10 finishes; but she usually wins when she contends.  Jennifer played 13 times before this week and had only one Top-10, that's when she won ShopRite.

Morgan Pressel doesn't seem too bad this week (to my ears ... perhaps because i usually mainly watch youtube highlights and not the Live broadcast)

... and i wondered whether it's because she is better in smaller doses (i.e. on the World Feed... she is accompanied by Grant Boone alongside Richard Kaufman, Ali Whitaker, Jess Korda etc ... which means Morgan has less airtime/ear-time?)

Enjoyed listening to Jess Korda in the booth yesterday. Today, I hear they have Anna Nordquist in, she's always a good listen. What a great venue this is for the gals to show off their skills. Only downside, I dislike public displays of God botherin' from sportists like Lydia Ko, genuflecting on the first tee.

I watched R1 and enjoyed the array of commentators in shifts that they had until the last 'shift' with Morgan - I just can't abide her voice and the 'amount' of her commentary, to me it was less enjoyable vs all the shifts.

 

To each their own but is a big negative for me and am watching far less LPGA golf when she is commentating. That can't be a human voice, sounds to me like a cartoon character. No good or bad, just my personal preference.

 

On a positive, really enjoyed Jessica Korda's input.

Not punch her in the face, but everytime I see that ad and she say’s ’we fired our housekeeper’ I can’t resist immediately adding commentary about something NSFW that she does next.  My wife’s not a fan, but at this point it’s an involuntary action on my part.
