Does anyone have 2 or more putters in their arsenal?

Currently have a collection of two Scotty Cameron putters that I switch on and off during the season. One is a Super Select Newport 2, and the other is a Phantom X 5S. 

 

Clearly they are completely different. One is a blade with a medium amount of toe hang, and the other one is a center shafted mallet with no toe hang. 

 

I like having both because I love the look of the Newport 2. But, sometimes my putting can get away from me so I switch to the Phantom to get my confidence back and strengthen my putting stroke. 

 

Then once I get comfortable, I switch back to the Newport 2.

 

Does anyone do the same? FYI, I do not keep both in my bag at the same time.

Not exactly.....

If you lose confidence playing with the NP2 and get it back with the Phantom X why wouldn't you stay with the X ? 

I've used an NP2 for years and recently purchased a Phantom 5X for a particular course with huge, slow and flat greens. X helps with lag putting on these greens so far with no 3 putts. Love the look of both putters too. Putting is all about confidence, in your putter, speed.  read and stroke.

because i am a sicko and prefer the aesthetics of the blade instead of the performance of a mallet lol.

This is so true...

 

I'm so streaky with a blade, but it almost orgasmic when I sink long putts with it... I'm certainly more consistent w/my mallet, but I get more thrills out of the blade LOL.

Brother...come on! I have 7 Scottys that I rotate through and an Evnroll that makes an occasional appearance. I think the better question for this crowd is who only has one putter?

Not currently. I have a Cameron Squareback 2 that's been in the bag since Father's Day 2017. In the past I've mowed through putters pretty frequently. I actually went through a stage where I carried two putters in the bag at once. I've also carried a left-handed putter for a while. But for the last long while, it's just been a single putter.

My rotation is currently at 14 but every season I go through a slump and NEED to buy a new putter......NEED TO.......Its in the WRX rule book. Having said that I am using the S2S JB and have had no trouble so far.......BUT YOU NEVER KNOW so I stay apprised of the new models............Just in case........

Wow this thread makes me feel better about my putter collection (currently five). It’s nothing compared to some of you guys!

 

Oh and OP I get it. I WANT to play my Newport two or one of my other Scotty blades. It only ever lasts a round or two at most before the spider is back in - sometimes it’s back in before the blade makes it to the course. Ultimately stats don’t lie, I putt more consistently with the spider, but nothing beats looking down on a nice blade and holing some good putts.

For me, having multiple putters to cycle through is a must.  I ride that honeymoon phase out then swap it when they get cold.  All 4 of mine are TP Mills, same length, and lie.  Just different head shapes. While I know this is not the most healthy way to get better at putting, it is fun and keeps things interesting
