Lowry's ball just moved in the rough. He lightly set the club behind it and it rolled back as he took a practice swing. He never replaced it.

No hyperbole, it's pretty straightforward. The practice swing caused the ball to move.

It's funny they didn't say anything about it as it happened and the camera cut away really quick to a different shot. They only mentioned it as he was walking up to the green.

 

The timing right after the "human interest" video segment about the Lowry mural down the street was interesting.
