rsballer10
I've been critical of Shane in the past. MaineMariner
Lowry assessed a 2-stroke penalty, per the internet. That's just brutal luck. He wasn't even swinging close to his ball, wasn't looking at his ball, and was only "caught" because a camera happened to be zoomed in. That same thing probably happened a dozen times on the course today, but nobody was there to see it. 1 Quote Callaway Rogue ST Max 10.5 deg. Yep, it is a guarantee that it happened other times today but those players weren't in contention so it did not get noticed.

Tiger in 2005 at same age of Scottie was married too and just recently I think had his first child but you could still envision the guy going to the bar and getting sloshed or even he and his wife having their sitter watch the kid for a night and getting sloshed together. rsballer10
1 hour ago, nsxguy said: The link you posted is from the pre-2019 rules. That said I don't think it's any difference now (just too lazy to go look for it. LOL) But note, in the link it says "1) when video reveals evidence that could not reasonably be seen with the “naked eye,” (no penalty). And, imo, there's the rub. I kinda agree with Footwedge. When the golfer takes a practice swing, he's looking at the spot where the ball would've been. And at that point, the ball moves enough to be seen a mere 12 inches away from him. He should've seen it move. But that aside, whether he was looking at it or not, is not what you posted said. Video evidence is admissible, and imo, that movement could definitely have been seen from 5+ feet above the ball. Shane did a great job taking the penalty and moving. But I wasn't surprised to hear him say that he didn't see it move in real time, and that the officials already had their mind made up when he got to the scorer's table. He handled it as best he could. I just don't like the idea that the sport brags about players calling their own penalties, and then intervenes when they want a certain ruling. If he weren't in Scottie's group, it probably doesn't get caught. How many other players are getting zoomed in camera views of their ball?
