Well...maybe because of these visuals - taken from a single ad break - which can only described as bizarre and obnoxious. Just one of them is related to golf and of course it has to be some pretension-to-art surrealism - in a golf ball advert? Couldn't tell you what the other ones are trying to sell but they're doing it poorly.

 

The people commissioning, scripting, shooting, editing these things must be at the 79th floor of a hermetically sealed ivory tower.

We have a joke in South Florida whenever you see a man in pink/green/purple/orange colored pants or shorts he is Cuban/South American.  I guess that carries over to Spain too.

NBC in protest mode today, did not want to show the 1005 or 1015 groups teeing off which is kind of odd.  They usually show the last 4.  I'm awaiting the inevitable X post from a certain account giving us the reason why they did not show the 1015 group  😃

This seems to be the most aerial Open course.  It hasn't been burned out where guys need to use the ground game to run the ball up.  Dare I say it's almost American aerial style.
